I have a couple questions regarding dental insurance: What’s the difference between a dentist that’s in-network and one who is out-of-network? Is there a way to insure just my daughter for dental insurance? Is it normal to require a deductible for a Dental
Indemnity Plan? Thanks in advance!

Under normal circumstances, only dentists in your network are covered by the plan. There are typically safety nets within the plan that protect you in case the network doesn't include a specialist, or if it's an emergency. I've never heard of a dental plan for just a minor, but that doesn't mean someone isn't offering it. Most people are way over-insured regarding deductibles. It is typical that the additional premium to eliminate deductibles is substantially greater than the average annual cost of deductibles. So, be careful about avoiding the deductible unless you're certain that you're a "heavy" user of the insurance.
