I have linked the BBB and TrustLink information to your question so the information that we have is available for your review.

Be aware that California law requires any company that procures or offers to procure employment or auditions, or that provides artist management services, direction or counseling to develop an artist's career, for any of which they collect a fee in advance to post a $10,000 bond. This law also prohibits charging for such services as; registering or listing the artist for employment, providing photographs, videotapes, other promotional materials, costumes, lessons or training, or auditions. To obtain bonding information, write to the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Department of Industrial Relations, Legal Section, at P.O. Box 420603, San Francisco, CA 94142 or call (415) 703-4846 or by email to DLSE.licensing@dir.ca.gov. The website address is www.dir.ca.gov.

They were extremely vague when they called me and not worth the time. Better to invest time/energy into your own promotion and music than with firms like this. They have a 2.95 trial but could give no specifics whatsoever about how they promote or what they do for artists when I asked. Seemed like they just wanted my credit card info. They called me after I signed up on their site. Testimonials on their site only show artists who were established long before artistpr has been around. To me its not even worth a 2.95 trial.. because they don't say what they do for you and there's no testimonials from unsigned artists

Hello, this is John Mahoney President of Artistpr.com We currently posses an A rating with the Better Business Bureau: http://www.la.bbb.org/business-reviews/Public-Relations-Consultants/Artistprcom-in-Hollywood-CA-100047102 We offer a 5-day trial for $2.95 so our potential customers can experience our services risk-free and learn more about exactly what we offer. Based on their initial experience and information, they can then decide whether or not our service is right for them. As you might already know, most publicity companies charge a minimum of $300 to get started, followed by additional fees for every single licensing opportunity you submit afterwards. We try to make ArtistPR as affordable as possible since our company is operated by musicians who are still active and have worked and performed in the music business for many years. We strive to deliver a service which helps to educate and provide artists the tools and information they need to succeed. ArtistPR constantly tries to remain the best available service in our field and we have the testimonials from recognized people in the industry to prove it: http://www.artistpr.com/testimonials.php We’ve also donated to a number of charities in recent years, including the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, Children with HIV, and the Red Cross during the Japanese tsunami disaster last year. Essentially, there isn't one online music promotion company that somebody somewhere doesn't have something bad to say about. Most of the negative things people have written online about Artistpr (there’s still only a few over the 5+ years we’ve been in business) are from people like who have never even used our service and have jumped to negative conclusions. You can see EXACTLY what we offer at www.artistpr.com/signup2.html I would also suggesting reviewing our faq page. You can always email support(at)artistpr(dot)com with any questions. Thank you

I used their service for several months while promoting a new release. I was happy with the service they offered and it was only $60 a month. Other promotion companies I used in the past charged me over $500 up front and they didn't do anything. Artistpr.com at least got me written up in a few magazines as well as some internet radio airplay. I would recommend using them.

I have used Artistpr.com and I found the services useful. You could do all the work yourself and not have to pay the $60 a month but you also have to ask yourself "what's your time worth?" They aren't a "scam" or "ripoff" They provide publicity services for artist's and like ALL pr firms they charge a fee. I did my homework on them before I signed up because there are allot of scams out there and found that they have a solid rating with the BBB and even donate to charity. http://www.examiner.com/article/artistpr-announces-support-of-jon-bon-jovi-soul-foundation http://meditationstars.com/2011/09/artistpr-sponsors-benefit-show-for-children-with-h-i-v/
