I am seriously considering bankruptcy. But I am so scared because I am not knowledgeable about the laws about bankruptcy, and am so scared that I am going to get ripped off by an attorney, as if I had money for one. Is it safe for me to file on my own,
or is there somewhere I can go to ask the list of questions I have about bankruptcy? Is there legal help for people that need help, but cannot afford an attorney?

Yes, there is free and legal help in your state. Call your city for free assistance, do not file bk alone. Your credit will be tarnished for 8-10 years, so take it very seriously. I found a link that you can use for help: http://www.ehow.com/info_7862074_can-legal-assistance-file-bankruptcy.html Good luck!
