DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOK PLEASE THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE A STAR ME and my girlfriend was moving from cal to ky we hired a place call SAR STORAGE AND RELOCATION well the place gave us a great estimate on moving it was like 1500 dollars well after the truck was loaded they said the weigh was like 8000lbs and when they weigh he would call her 2 days later the driver said we own 3000 more dollar and if we didnt pay he would put her stuff in storage and she would have to pay for the storage please it seems like alot of people have been ripped off from this guy RUN AWAY

SAR is not worth a single star. It's a total fraud. If you see the complaints most of them will echo the same thing,
1. You will receive a binding estimate given by the inspector after inspecting your home thoroughly. This estimate would be in pounds. In my case it was for 3000 lbs and the estimate amount was $2508.
2. At the time of pick up the first thing the foreman will do is tell you that your weight is way too much and he will give you a revised estimate. NOTE that this estimate would be in cubic feet. Since you have already decided on the move, you don't have much time and choice and you are completely trapped. You will be forced to accept the new estimate. In my case the new estimate was $3600 which is 1100 dollars more than the original one.
3. The foreman was extremely rude and suggested me that I should pay at least $75 in tips so that my stuff will be moved 'safely'
4. The delivery person was even worst in the way he spoke. The first thing he mentioned that I will have to pay extra money since my apartment was 2 story, even though this was mentioned earlier.
5. At the time of pick they had dismantled few things which the delivery person refused to assemble back. The only thing is assembled was the master bed, which he did wrongly and we had to dismantle it and assemble again after spending 3 hours.
There are many other things to mention but this is just a small list. Unfortunately I don't have any positive experience at all.
In short all the people involved with SAR will make sure you have the most unpleasant experience of moving and you are royally ripped off.
If you want to have a piece of mind simply run away from this company. It rightly has 'F' rating with BBB.

I would highly recommend Storage and Relocation, Inc.! I received the best customer service from this moving company. From the very first phone call, to doing the follow ups and for keeping me posted prior and after the move. My moving coordinator has been really on top of the schedules and the quotes that was given to me, which is really affordable, especially for having very large items, extremely valuable and antiques and priceless belongings that I have.
I really had a good experience with this moving company. The movers are very polite and courteous. The movers are very efficient and very careful with packing my belongins, not to mention they didnt even charge me for some of the additional packing that needed to be done as a courtesy. The movers packed my grand piano (the largest concert grand piano) very well, they delivered my belongings on time as advised with no hassles which made it very easy and convenient for me.
Needless to say I am very happy and had a great experience with my move, this company made it very very easy for me, and I would really highly recommend for people to use this company with their move!

I wouldn't even give them a star at all. SAR is a total rip off.
The foreman had bate and switched. He also told me my total weight would be way over my estimate. Therefore he said he was giving a "deal" at 8000 lbs., but the new contract he made out was in cubic feet instead of pounds which made it at 5,000 dollars. My orginal estimate by weight was 3071.00 dollars. On delivery I demanded a weight slip and was given the run around. The driver said he didn't have it and the office said the same. My daughter had more stuff than me and Mayflower showed her a weight slip of 5000 lbs. So I know this company is dishonest and will lie to keep the money.

RUN THE OTHER WAY!! This company is a total rip off!
The loaded everything I owned onto their truck then their foreman Moti, looked at my belongings and said "That's 8,000 pound more than the 10,000 pounds we quoted you on, so you owe us another $4,400". I said "I was told we were going to go weigh the truck". and he said "If we weigh it, it will cost even more, because the true weight is even higher than 18,000 pounds". Even one of their movers told me "You should get angry and yell at him. I hate it when they do this to people". When the driver called to schedule delivery, I told him to bring a fresh scale ticket. We weighed the empty truck after unloading. Total weight 9,440 pounds. LESS THAN the 10,000 we agreed upon. They ripped me for over $4k!!! Be VERY careful with any moving company!! There are more crooks in this business than any other business I've ever seen. REMEMBER-THEY EXPECT TO NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!!! If I had to do itt again, I'd hire the transportation attorney before the move, instead of after getting ripped off, it's worth the $600 to be sure the contract isn't crooked.
