Unable to verify through VeriSign logo
|
I have been given a job offer with a company that uses HireRight to perform background check paperwork. When I began the necessary process in order to become quickly employed, I came to a halt at the redirecting to HireRight's web address.
Once redirected to the background check paperwork through HireRight, I noticed a VeriSign logo in the bottom left corner. I immediately turned off all popup blockers and clicked the logo to verify. Nothing happened!
I then repeated this process on my smart phone, as I had initially used a laptop, and was still unable to receive a verisign popup verification.
Needless to say, for a company that requires me to enter my very personal information (social security, w2, and address), I should be able to verify it as a trusted and secure site.
Because I have been unable to verify the logo, I have reason to believe their certificate is either falsified or expired. I refuse to put my information in their hands, thus automatically resigning me from being able to accept the job offer.
