NEVER, EVER , EVER USE THIS COMPANY - NEVER ! Read why!
HireRight manner of business and their complete lack of communication between their own employees creates a vicious cycle of misinformation and downright false reports - just as the FTC found when they sued HireRight for 2.6 MILLION dollars because of their shoddy business practices, lack of response and inattention to detail. I have been asked to provide the same information four times to different people and neither of the ones I spoke to had any record of receiving my information despite my copies and the copies I send to the company using them to background check me being forwarded to them again, after I provided it each time. It's as if they never receive email. Initially their "researchers" claimed that the one of my former employers didn't exist. I provided the contact information again including names, email address, cell numbers and the personal cell number of the CEO of the company and a Google search link where the company shows up as the first entry on the search and screenshots of the company website and links! I have given the same information to four different people now and I then get another text message "alert" that they need the same information again. I reply to their email and also call the number listed in their email for support and THEIR NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED! I have saved all my email correspondence and the voice mails I have received from their representatives and I defy anyone to understand what they are saying even if you speak their native tongue which I do. Request, pleas and ultimately demands for help from their customer support have only served to generate another circle of incompetent requests for the same information and the same statement from their representative "the company you are speaking of phones are disconnected" - I even had their representative listen via speaker phone as I called my former employer and introduced their admin assistant to HireRight's representative - live! She confirmed her contact information to them and yet, she has not yet received a telephone call, email or fax contact of any type from HireRight. The representative personally assured me that he would handle this issue and repeated the contact information back to me. Guess what? ANOTHER text message followed by a email asking for the same information ASAP! It's enough to drive one nuts and it will likely cause me to lose an opportunity for employment. I guess I will need to do what others have been doing and contact the FTC and provide all my documentation, voice mails and replies from their "researchers". Is there an option for a ZERO or negative rating? You would think after getting fined so heavily and the tons of complaints online they would get to the bottom of the problem...
