HireRight Inc. is a joke when it comes to doing background checks
|
I recently accepted a contingent job offer from a company and they were using HireRight as their background check company. This company obviously has no idea on how to successfully get information for people they are researching. First issue I ran into with this company is that there are 2 companies I worked for about 7 to 10 years ago and they claimed the could not verify I worked at either job, after endless attempts to respond to their requests asking for W-2 from previous employers I finally get ahold of someone after 2 days of emails and phone calls where I get no return phone call I finally get someone on the phone. She tells me that they couldn't verify my employment, I assisted this rep with information on who to contact to get this information, the problem is that I had already provided this information when I filled out the background check consent they just chose not to use the information I provided. Then I get a call from the recruiter at the company I was applying saying HireRight could not confirm my High School graduation year or that I ever attended that school. At this point I am irritated beyond belief because this company would of been better off having me do my own background check because that is what I did for HireRight. So I let the recruiter know I will contact my High school at the same number I provided to HireRight to get the info. I was on the phone with my High School for 5 minutes and 35 seconds. And in that time they had gathered my High School transcripts and faxed them to the recruiter. So I asked the guy at my old school has anyone requested information regarding my transcripts and he said no one has called for transcripts in the last 6 mths to this school. So my question is why do large companies use this companies service if they are not doing their job. Seems like a waste of company resources when I got all the information they needed about myself in a matter of 1 hour and it took HireRight a week and a half to get nothing.
