I used LegalZoom to process a legal name change in January 2013. The process was painless in every way. The price was much better than hiring an attorney and paying large court fees. I spent less than $300 (including filing/court/amendment to birth certificate fees) from start to finish and I'm more than pleased with how easy it was.
I received my packet before they estimated I'd receive it (which was a nice surprise) and I was able to follow the instructions without thinking about it. I signed a few papers, got my papers notarized and followed the instructions to a T and have encountered zero problems locally with what I needed.
I recommend LegalZoom to everyone I get a chance to talk to about it. Their prices are more than fair compared to my city, their customer service - I've heard from others - is spectacular. I can't stress how EASY everything has been. I have tips on who to notify my name change with, what order is likely to be best, and information on future needs I may have that they can help me with.
I will be returning to LegalZoom for any other legal matter I have. 5 out of 5 across the board for LegalZoom.
