There isn't a single record of me anywhere on the web. All of my profiles online (facebook and what have you) have nicknames and my friends know me and address me by my nick. It's not my real name. Few in real life even know my real last name. You see I've been on the web for nearly a decade and I've been mindful of my privacy since day one.
But guess what? a search on my real full name yields only one hit on both bing and google and they redirect only to Mylife.com
And for some reason it also reveals exactly what my current age is and the last addresses where I lived at, even my unlisted phone number (all previous #s unlisted as well).
It gets better. My mom cannot and simply would not use the web, she is one of those face-to-face people. Well, her name shows up associated with my name and all the same previous addresses we lived at. This IS AN INVASION OF PRIVACY. They could've only gotten this information by buying addresses from mail harvesters, dumpster-divers who knows how else. But NOT through legal means.
Now If I call these people that would be admitting that their info on both my mom and I is a 100% correct. Which they could use to perform who knows what scam. THIS IS NOT LEGAL. There's currently a law action suit against these people and I truly hope they don't come back.
