Fantastic idea and website, needs some work
|
The site is an amazing concept, they charge you to sell on their site and they help you promote your sales and gain as many as possible, while completely securing you against fraud and reversals. I am writing this review as a seller, yet I have also purchased off them many times before and had no issues. The site is almost perfect, except a few features they must implement are the following. They literally 'boast' about their 24 hour live chat support, it use to be a fantastic feature, however not it can take up to 30 minutes to talk to an agent and they can reply very slowly. Maybe they need to employ more agents for peak times. The customer service is in shambles, recently I contacted them to ask why I was no longer a verified seller, and they said they were escalating my question to another department and I never received a reply. A problem with the feedback system is that it is easy for people to mistakenly give you negative feedback. They should have a dialogue box pop up once somebody has ticked negative or neutral feedback asking them to confirm their choice. When people accidentally leave negative feedback and you manage to contact them, they will usually remove the negative but once they have done this playerauctions does not allow them to give you a positive or negative feedback after retracting the bad feedback. Another bad feature is the email notifications. I genuinely like the way it gives you 3-4 emails per transactions, but sometimes I like to leave my auction on overnight and use my phone to wake me up when I get an email, but I can be woken for disbursements as well, which is annoying. This is because I can't set my email subscription settings, you should have a choice to receive emails when: -Somebody orders from you. -Seller confirms delivery. -Buyer confirms delivery. -Buyer leaves feedback. -Disbursement sent to seller. One terrible feature of the site is as a seller, if you miss an order (yes, even if the buyer never came online for you to deliver and just cancelled the order) you must pay a fee! This is rather outrageous as it does not cost playerauctions a penny (I assume) if you miss an order. Finally for now, another bad feature is the fast that you have to PAY a deposit to be a powerseller on the site, and you only ever get the deposit back when you agree to stop selling on playerauctions. Sorry, but I just think that is cheeky with the amount of fee's they charge you which is significant if you add it all up. This is because powerseller doesn't actually give you any benefits, other than a nifty badge. Over than the bugs and features above, I would approve playerauctions and a nice site, but only going to give it 3 stars. If it fixed some or maybe even all of the things I have mentioned above, I would happily change my review to a 5 star review. Hope I help some people out wishing to sell on playerauctions. - Scoobysteaks, PlayerAuctions Habbo Seller.
