DO NOT BUY FROM STANDARD PACIFIC!
I wish I had seen some of these reviews sooner. Myself and my neighbor have had some of the same issues when it comes to structure and warranty service. When you are in the sales department, they go over all the quality products and high energy effeciency materials they use. We had homes built in lots next to each other and they did not use a structural floor basement and has caused excessive movement in his home. I have having some of the same issues. I am having heaving in the garage and when I have contacted them to fix, even though I brought it to their attention a while back, they say out of warranty and not their issue. They are extremely unhelpful once you have closed yet they preach how the superintendent is their to help through out the process and then had changes and the new guy was an a-hole. IF you register issues on their website, they do not respond back in 48 hours...it's more like 2 weeks. I find that just calling the emergency line and waking their guys up at 7am in the morning much more beneficial now. Whether it's an emergency or not, at least you have a contact name of the problem. While I was anxious to move into a home and this new development looked great, I really wish I hadn't purchased it. The only upside is I have awesome neighbors which make it bearable.
