VIG Furniture refuses to work with customers

I bought a glass-top coffee table approximately 2 years ago from a store that distributes VIG furniture. It has a joint that holds the 2 pieces of the base parallel to the floor. The joint failed, causing the table to collapse; this table has never held more than approximately 2 pounds on it. VIG refuses to even talk with a customer, telling me to go back to the store. After 2 years, I certainly don't expect the store to replace the item; however, only a poorly made (or faulty) product would fail under no stress in this short period of time. I've never purchased a product where the distributor absolutely refuses to work with a customer. I wish I had found this site before making the purchase. Don't buy any products from VIG Furniture. I would give them no stars if I could.
