Worst experience ever

My elderly father was suckered into signing a contract with a salesman going door to door. My father asked the guy to leave several times, but the guy kept going with his sales pitch. Dad felt the only way to get rid of the guy was to succumb to the pressure.
The salesman said there was nothing down and led my father to believe that he would be living on the solar power and the electric company would pay the solar company for the excess. Dad was not prepared for the bills that would be coming. He knew nothing about
having to pay for the electricity generated by the panels. He was only to pay for excess electricity he was using. His house is 80-90 degrees because he is trying to keep his costs down. We are wondering what the benefit of this solar is. I called customer
service to question what was going on and was informed that we are basically, stuck for the next 20 years. Be diligent and skeptical when purchasing or leasing long term deals. I wasn't given the opportunity to do that for my father.
