No drama, no surprises, and no “gotchas.”
My wife, Donna, and I are probably well outside your usual customer demographic. We are in our mid 60’s, have lived in the same house for 30 years, and have not re-mortgaged it to the hilt over the years. We do not intend to ever move.
We did fairly exhaustive research on reverse mortgages and on reverse mortgage companies on our own before approaching any reverse mortgage company. We also did serious soul-searching before deciding to obtain a reverse mortgage.
We narrowed the field down to three possible companies, and obtained quotes from each. For us, this was not an impulse buy, nor was it a buy based on a salesperson’s “schmoozing quotient.” We ended up selecting All Reverse for several reasons:
a) Our contact at All Reverse, Caren, was always professional, always had intelligible answers, and understood the perspective from which we were coming.
b) There was no “car salesman” type of protracted negotiation. All Reverse got right down to a good quote without a series of incremental steps, each of which “would have to be approved by the manager.”
c) All Reverse has an excellent rating from the Better Business Bureau, is a member of NRMLA, and had generally excellent reviews on the internet.
Our experience while closing the reverse mortgage was:
a) Schedules and promises made by All Reverse were all kept.
b) Small glitches not of All Reverse’s making (like a missing reconveyance deed from a former mortgage company) were handled with good cooperation and speed.
c) No drama, no surprises, and no “gotchas.”
Would that all companies have the business culture of All Reverse. Five stars and two thumbs up for All Reverse!

Quick and Easy
I chose All Reverse Mortgage Co. because they are located near my home, and I wanted to be able to go see people if I needed to instead of dealing with a company in another state. The complete process from first phone call to All Reverse to the closing
of the transaction was only a few weeks. They answered all my questions and were available when I needed to talk to them. I was surprised at how easy and quick the process was. When the title company made an error at the end of the transaction, All Reverse
got it corrected and settled within 24 hours. My only suggestion is that somewhere in this process of documentation and counseling someone should make a point of reminding clients that doing a reverse mortgage will remove the mortgage interest deduction from
their Federal taxes. Many people in their 60's are working full time and need to make sure the numbers will still work out in their favor if they do a reverse mortgage.

I recently completed my Reverse Mortgage with All Reverse Mortgage Company, working with Cliff Auerswald throughout, and the experience was all good from start to finish. I am such a demanding and impatient perfectionist, not an easy person to work with, and yet Cliff exceeded my every expectation, giving me crisp, clear, immediate, accurate, complete answers to all my questions, and where I didn’t know to ask, he just told me right out. He really knew the ropes of the reverse mortgage business, and was on top of what was going on, and what was coming up on the horizon. On top of this, he gave me a hugely competitive rate, unmatchable by any of the several brokers contending for my business, and astoundingly generous terms over all. Everything was handled promptly, one two three, no delays, flexible when necessary, updated copies out in a flash, fed-ex’d in a day. I really felt that I couldn’t have been treated better. Reverse Mortgage
I really have to share my story with 1 company which has tremendously helped me. I just turned 74, many obstacles have come in the way of my retirement including a divorce a few years ago which really hurt me financially, to be honest I had this feeling that my savings and SS income were not going to be enough. Months and months of research and dealing with big banks - nothing but a big headache and they wanted to charge an arm and leg - I was considering a standard home equity loan but then I started reading about reverse mortgages. I found this company while searching online - reverse mortgage lenders direct - they were able to automatically compare lenders for me and quote me a fantastic quote. I recently obtained a reverse mortgage from this fine company. Everyone I dealt with was very courteous, helpful, and each performed their particular task exactly as promised. The process was quick, painless and without any problems or issues whatsoever. What they need to do in their advertising is stress how easy it is to deal with an out-of-state company. At first, I had reservations as mortgage financing is time consuming and can be complicated, but the process was truly a breeze. I cannot think of one issue this company should address.
