DO NOT take insurance from this company!!!!!!! For the amount of time and effort I put into getting any claim money from them, I would have been better off taking a second job at McDonalds. They require a lot of paperwork and pay ridiculously low amounts compared to the loss I experienced.

Great insurance company, until you actually have to file a claim. Had a hot water pipe leak under the slab. Insurance paid the plumber and the restoration company in a timely manner. However, it's been almost two months since the loss and we are still going around and around with them on the damage to our home. They sent us a check for a fraction of the costs to restore our home to it's original condition. Between getting the run around from them not returning phone calls for several days or not submitting inspection reports for a week or so at a time. (we have had two inspections) (things were missed on the first inspection). My advise, find an insurance company who has a four star or more rating and is an accredited member of the BBB. Century National is not a member of the BBB. Premium costs should not be the only determining factor when shopping for insurance.

I did decontamination work for a client of CNI Co. and billed them directly in June-09 it is going on Sept-09, I have yet to receive payment. They canceled my client's insurance, simply, for filing his claim (which was beyond his control). They denied content coverage without just cause, they told him they'd pay him one amount, but when he received his check it had erroneous deductions bringing the total issued to my client thousands of dollars less than they had originally agreed. According to an independent adjusted they have a $5000.00 cap on contamination - which means that any client that discovers asbestos, mold, death/trauma etc will only be covered up to $5000.00 leaving their client holding the bag for the difference. My client suffered a horrific loss and was a valued client of CNI co. for 20 years without incident, until this claim. Regardless of this fact, his insurance policy was canceled and a good portion of his expenses were denied - meaning he will bear the weight of said expenses on his own. In my experience, a prospective client would be better off dealing with Farmers, or State Farm for their home owners needs.

Their claim resolution is very poor. Our home had a sewer flood January 2009. They sent a company out to evacuate the wet carpet, and clean up the imedeate problem. The company they sent told us they were going to do asbestouse testing, and from what I understand the company was paid for it. When our contractor asked for a copy of the report the insurance company didn't have it. The insurance company also said they had paid for the repair work to be done. We reported to them through our contractor that the work was not done. The insurance company sent out another company to inspect that the work was not done. We were assured we would have an answer with in the week after we provided proof that we had some come and roto root the sewere line. We faxed that to the company the insurance company sent out to investigate. That was 3 weeks ago. Our contractor calls the insurance company, and he gets transfered back and forth between the imediate adjuster who is supposed to be handling our claim and her suppervisor. Our contractor has gone to her supervisor's supervisor, and that is how we got the second company the insurance company uses to come investigate.
Help we are stuck in a perverbiale pass the buck with this insurace company.

Great Company until you file a claim. I had a slab leak and it took 3 weeks for them to authorize a reroute. I have water under my flooring and a cabinet that has moisture under it and they are treating me like a criminal. It has now been almost 2 months and they are still sending out experts. Meanwhile I am sick from the mold and they refuse to pay for me to leave my home or bring in a mold remediator.

Do yourself a favor find someone else to insure your property.
