Shocked by these reviews
After reading a few of your reviews, I was shocked by the mostly negative aspects. I have been using CyberDefender for almost 2 years and have had very good results. Of course, I started out with the free diagnostics and was later turned over to a sales rep. The price was a little startling, especially when you have 3 computers to maintain, but my husband and I decided to cough up the $199/per computer. They let me pay it out over 3 installments so that was helpful. Whenever I run into a problem/question, I dial the Live Help Desk; give them the situation and then they ask me to log them in. Usually, within one to three hours, a technician is working on the problem while I go about my other activities. They usually call me before they sign off, but if I'm not available, they leave me an email with an incident number in case I have to call back.
I am very pleased with my CyberDefender contract and will likely renew when it expires next year. I'm just a little shocked to see others have had a problem. By the way, even is something is NOT wrong with my computer, I call at least every 2 months and they give all 3 computers a "tune up". So far, they are all purring right along.

The worst and biggest liers in the world
I live now in Mexico and I bought from Cyber defender two years ago. I have spent the whole day trying to get in touch with an agent and I have not been able to pass number two in the queue. The software does not work since my computer has crashed more that twice every year and I have to leave it on for 10 hours until on of their technicians helps out. When you buy they help unmediated but once you are sold you become part of a list of unsatisfied customers. There should be a way in which customers could cancel at discretion. Do not buy from them, they will seduce you with their selling techniques and once you are in, good bye.

Hard to recommend to others.
There are many things about the business end of this company that are questionable.
The tech support I received was good. Thank you Chris Quinn for your help. Chris Quinn is a very good tech. There were 2 other techs that were good too. The computer is faster, but the problem is still there. There is something causing high memory usage and freezing the computer.
I had tried to buy one of the software packages, but the order didn't go through. There was nothing wrong with my card, etc. A box popped up telling me to call a number. She then transferred me to a tech. At first I was told that the service would be $279 for one year. Having to live on reduced income, that is very expensive. So I was told $199 and 13.95/month. 279-199= 80. 80 divided by 13.95= 5.73 months. Will the 13.95 stop after the 5.73 months? After reading other reviews, I doubt it. I received nothing that told me what I had purchased and for how much. I have online backup now which I won't use. I have an extra virus protection that I don't use. They uninstalled the virus protection that I had and that I was very happy with and had 6 months left on the subscription. It also doesn't use as much memory as Cyberdefender's product. There are no prices on the service packages on the websites, just the software. These issues that people complain about need to be addressed. I would like to go into more detail about matters, but am afraid that I won't have room.

I would like to thank Chris for helping me install turbotax. Everytime i tried i would get an error. Chris went in and corrected what ever was wrong. I was able to download turbotax with no more problems. Thanks again to Chris and cyber defender. Sincerly; Jim Marchand

Did everyone just happen to get Chris Quinn?
I would agree with most people about the initial contact with MyCleanPc ( Owned by Cyberdefender). Once they received my money ($597 for 3 yrs.) it was difficult to get a tecnician on my computer. The cleaner only works on the registry.
I don't question the tecnicians knowledge. I watched my computer screen as they logged on. All they did was reboot my computer and leave me a message that they did not experience the bluescreens, monitor just blaanking and the computer would not boot, just sit there and beep. After 3 mos. of being assured they could fix my errors, my computer has completely crashed.
It may just be my experience, but I would proceed very cautiously with this. See how 1 yr. goes, because I commited to 3 yrs @$597 and they do not want to refund my money. I was told at the begining that it is an annual subscription. After the 3 mos., I was told that they would have to review technician time, etc. and that I had exceeded the time line to get a refund.
I asked to speak with a supervisor directly , for whom supposedly made the decision. I was informed that that's not protocol and refused to give me a name or employee number. I was also informed over and over, that they could'nt help as long as I was angry. Yeah, it's my fault they just "robbed" me of $597.
In closing, how come everyone that wrote a response used Chris Quinn? It seems fishy to me.

ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have called this company multiple times in an attempt to get them to stop their constant computerized calling that there is never anyone on the other end. I have been assured my number would taken off the list. I still receive the calls. I wanted to speak with the president of the company no luck. I guess Mr Martinez, if that's the real name that was given to me, is way too busy to deal with complaints as he is tying to get people on his end of the phone to talk when they call. I am now forced to report this to the FCC.

I am a computer novice, and whatever questions/problems I have with my computer CyberDefender is there for me. They just helped me transfer files from a old computer to my new one. Phenomenal Job! Love their work...

MyCleanPC.com experience
I was skeptical about trying out this service because I don't know much about computers.... Well the tech has completed his work and I couldn't be happier with this service, I was also hesitant because of the price, then I began to think about how valuable my pictures and music were(also a computer) I feel it was well worth the money I spent

CyberDefender's Chris Quinn Rocks!
I had what I thought was a couple of minor issues with my PC. One when I logged into my email account the Internet Explorer program would start to load my email, then suddenly revert back to the home page. When I used Google Chrome the issue was not apparent. The other issue was when the previous work was completed I was was left with 3 user accounts that where hidden. So I Google'd this issue and when I decided that the issues where above my ability I contacted CyberDefender. Chris Quinn was assigned to resolve my issues. It took him a little longer than I thought it would have, but I had just had the PC worked on a couple of days previous and 1 of the issues was not taken care of only bypassed. Chris went above and beyond to seek out and destroy the virus that was hiding and resolved the issues. That is why Chris Rocks!

His attention to detail and meticulous use of his talent were evident during the entire process. I bet he has earned Employee of the Quarter many times -- if not, you folks had better take a closer look, the man is good and a top of the line professional.

Amazing Tech
Chris Quinn does what CyberDefender claims, makes your computer system run faster and smoother. After several requests to CyberDefender, I was assigned Chris to work on my system and he was able to get my laptop running better and faster than it has worked in years. THANK YOU Chris!!! Great job!

Chris Quinn is an awesome tech!
Chris Quinn fixed the issues with my laptop. He is very knowledgeable and I completely trusted he would fix it properly. He far exceeded my expectations. He went over and above to ensure my laptop was fixed. He is committed to what he does and very thorough and respectful. Chris is the epitome of the way customer service should be! It was a pleasure working with him, and I won't hesitate to work with him in the future, if need be on any of my computers. Thanks so much. I have had 2 laptops worked on today by Cyber Defender - very impressed with the overall service of all the Techs I talked during these processes.

Great people, great service
I have had CyberDefender on our computers at home for a year now. Every time I have an issue with one of our computers, I give them a call and I get helpful people that are glad to help. They answer the phone promptly and get me to the person that can get my problem resolved. In these days of poor customer service, it is refreshing to find people that know how to provide it. Chris Quinn worked on my computer today and had it fixed in no time at all. Thanks Chris.

Cyberdefender did a great job fixing my computer
The tech that worked on my computer did a wonderful job of cleaning out my computer and moving Itunes files that had consumed my hard drive.
