This company is nothing but a common thief that makes a living off of people that is need of help but the only one they help is theirself to your bank account That what they done to me i wished i could find help to get my money back

I and my family started doing business with this company 10 months ago. They promised us that they could get a loan modification for us and save our home from going into foreclosure. They contacted me weekly the entire time of our contract, 10 months and $3000.00 later they still did not have a solution to our mortgage problem. Finally we discovered this company is a FRAUD!!! They lie to their clients and they don't do what they say they can do. They will take your money and never provide you with a solution. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY!!! IT IS A SCAM TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL STILL LOSE YOUR HOUSE!! I have been kicking myself since I received foreclosure JUDGEMENT on my house!!! I immediately called my mortgage company directly (something First Universal tells you NOT to do) and as I should have known they have never been contacted by this company!!! I allowed First Universal 10 MONTHS to work on this and they NEVER contacted my mortgage on my behalf!!!! PLEASE HEED MY WARNING AND DO NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO MISLEAD YOU AND CONVINCE YOU THEY CAN HELP, THEY CAN'T & THEY WON'T!!!

I WAS CONTACTED BY A REPRESENTATIVE FROM FIRST UNIVERSAL LENDING, LLC IN PALM BEACH GARDENS REGARDING A LOAN MODIFICATION. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD ASSIST ME WITH LOWERING MY HOUSE PAYMENT. I DOWNLOADED ALL THE PAPER WORK THEY SENT ME VIA E-MAIL BUT BEFORE I COULD COMPLETE THE PAPER WORK AND RETURN IT TO THEM THEY HAD ALREADY ATTEMPTED TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT FOR $450. FORTUNATELY FOR ME THE FUNDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. AND EVEN THOUGH I NEVER SENT THEM THE REQUESTED PAPER WORK THEY CONTINUE TO TRY TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT. I HAVE NO SIGNED AGREEMENT WITH THEM. TO ME THIS IS A SCAM.

I have been using First Universal for over 8 months. They have misled me from day 1. I have went thru 4 reps, and each tells me the last rep was replaced because they didn't do their job. I get weekly calls every once in a while. When I started I wanted to get out from under an adjustable rate mortgage to a fixed one. I was told it would take a couple of months. It has now been over 8. I was told that they would not be able to expedite the process while I was making full payments, and was told they couldn't advise against it, but it was not very smart to continue payments. Now after $3200.00 I have had my home put up on the sherriffs auction. When I contacted them they assured me that Countrywide had stopped the forclosure sale, but the sherriff's office told me it had not ever been stopped. These guys are going to cost me my home, and loss of a lot of hardearned cash that they took with no intention of following thru with their end.

first universal lending called me telling me that i was paying more than i should for my house and that they can get my interest rate down to freddy mac guidelines but there would be a mthly fee of 299.00 a mth up to 3 mths, i agrreed over the phone and faxed all the pappers they sent me in email to them filled out and made my first payment and i week went by i did not hear from any one when i called them back i got voicmail every time left them emails and messages did not get a reply. when i finally got in touch with someone they told me my account was handled by someone else i was like why wasnt i told this, this company did not handle there business with me professional therefore i cancelled my modification process within 3 days after my signing or payment. and got my refund back.

I started with this company 3 months ago. At first I was very hesitant because of all of the news about modification companies. They reassured me that they are not a modification company. Well within 3 months I got my first offer. It was pretty good and I was ready to take it but my specialist told me that she could do better. Well now I have been paying for 4 months and today I got my second offer. I was pretty surprised to say the least. She got my interest rate down from 8.375 to 4.25% with Countrywide. I must say I didn't know what to think, but she said my modification documents will be mailed to me from coutrywide. I am very happy! Thanks again.

I have also was told that they could do the modification within 3 months, and they only seem to contact you maybe every two weeks and when i called to talk, it always went straight to the voice mail. When she would call me back, she saying the mortgage company still needs this or that ...Its like they should know by now what the mortgage company's want, They just send in a few papers at a time so the time the mortgage company gets it, they are now requesting new pay stubs and any other newer info So i would fax in the papers on wednesday or thursday to them and they wouldnt send them to the mortgage company till the following monday. I just couldnt figure that one out.. I feel like they were just stringing me along and try to stretch out the payment off 299.95 for as long as possible. I contacted my mortgage company and I am now dealing with them. Hopefully it will get done quicker then with them.

A man called me about modifying my loan (in late December), how much they could drop the payments and all I had to do was pay them a monthly fee of $399.95 while this process was going on, it could take from a couple of weeks to a couple of months he said. He went on to say they company understood that I could not pay them and make my monthly mortgage payments, so he told me to pay his company and any payments that was past due up to 10 payments would be "forgiven". I agreed, after a month I recieved nothing, and called the find out what was going on, I was told they were waiting on my mortgage company to respond to all the information they had sent over to them and the had verified the information was received.
Once a week I would get a message that the mortgage company hasn't responded but they are still calling once a week. After 3 months I received a forclosure notice from my mortgage company and a letter from an attorney telling me they expect to transfer title within the next 60-90 days. I called First Universal and as usual received the answering machine, I left a message as well as sent a email, she responded to the email asking me to fact the papers I receive to her, which I did.
She responded back to me that it was just a scare tactic and it would be okay. I called the bank and asked them about the papers and was told that they had rejected the proposal and I could submit different financial information to be reconsidered. I immediately emailed First Universal and told her what happened. When she emailed me back she told me that they were starting forclosure proceeding because I had not made any mortgage payments, but be assured that they would not forclose while they were in review. Also that she would make sure that the sale date was stopped.
When I started this process I was no where near the point of forclosure, just trying to get my interest rate down and reduce my payments, now I'm on the verge of loosing my home. I can see no value this company has except to ruin your life.

I was referred to this company by a friend. I was told by the owner of First Universal Lending and two account representatives that once I signed up for their services that any proceedings would stop. Basically, time would freeze until they were able to do a modification. I was also told that I did not have to make any house payments during this time because we were in the process of a modification. I was not in foreclosure when I initially signed up with this company. To date, First Universal Lending has deducted 3 months of $399.95 each. I speak with a representative via email from this company at least once a week. Two days ago, I received foreclosure papers. I called my mortgage company and was told they have never heard of this company. Apparently, First Universal has not even called and let my mortgage company know they were assissting me.
I emailed my representative at First Universal and her response was it is normal for your home to go through the foreclosure process but you have absolutely nothing to worry about. She even wants to expediate my sale date! I emailed them back and revoked their power of attorney to speak to my mortgage company, instructed them not to take another penny out of my checking account and demanded my money back.
I haven't heard a peep from them since.
BEWARE Of THIS COMPANY!!! In my experience, it's a scam!

First and foremost,I would like to give Tabitha the upmost respect for going out of her way to process this modification for me. She went beyond her duties to pull it all together. I must tell you that i have tried so hard to get on a fixed rate and get some stability in my life and with First Universal's full involvement,it was accomplished. My life has been in a whirlwind because i could not stay on a stable payment and i was paying out of my pocket for insuarance and taxes,and with your help i no longer will have to do that. I am raising two boys and trying to maintain and i just want to say from the bottom of my heart, Thank you for all of your hard work. The picture i attached is just something to help you put a face with the client that is more than satisfied and my Family is all that matters to me and that's why i work so hard to maintain and keep this home. Thank you for helping me do so.
I will spread the word and advise anyone to work with First Universal Lending.

PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THESE ARE CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people (someone named Joe) contacted us because we were and still are behind our mortgage, we went to them to find out what they could do to help. They offered a Loan Modification Solution, we were told “that they will fight with the bank” (IndyMac) to make them reduce our interest rate and adjust the value of the property to real market value: “ THAT THEY WERE EXPERTS IN THE MATTER AND KNOW HOW TO TALK TO THE BANKS!!!!.” JUST PLAIN BULL.
So far they did nothing, just collect the monthly ($399.95) payment from our checking account. Then someone called Vanessa (our case agent and “expert” in the matter) and us spoke with the bank on a 3 way call twice but no negotiation was done on our behalf.
IndyMac had previously sent us some type of loan modification (modification on their favor) letter that they wanted us to sign and sent back to them; but “First Universal Lending Loan Modification Experts” HAD DONE NOTHING; the bank still had not changed their mind.
A month thereafter, we got the Bank Foreclosure Papers from the Court, to which we had to response. This unscrupulous company told us that we had to write a letter (like they going to pay attention to us with all our legal knowledge) telling the Court and the Bank that “We had retained the services of First Universal Lending” to represent us in the matter, but they had not even produce a letter to this effect and in top of that, when we called Vanessa, their agent asking what to do, she; the expert in the matter that was “representing;” us took between 3 or 4 days to return our call and had no clue what to do.
So we asked to speak to a supervisor and someone named Jill called us back and told us to fax to her office the court foreclosure papers for she to look and send to their attorney, thing we did and then we wait and wait and when she finally called us back, told us again, that we had to replay to the court stating what Vanessa told us before.
So we cancelled their service and requested our money back. Then yesterday Friday April 04 of 2009 after 7 or 8 days of our request for cancellation a very nasty guy called us arguing they won’t represent us as attorneys; that they are just the “Experts in Loan Modification” and that the fight with the bank………SAME BOLOGNI. That he won’t approve them to return our money but that he would place the request and that it will take long to be processed; again MORE BULL; they did not took them long to get our money right???
That we have to have our own attorney; but nobody told this to us; and as matter of fact the supervisor women named Jill, told us to send her the court papers for her to submit to the attorney. So how is this? That someone of them says something and then other says something completely different??
There is one lie over the other. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. They are ripping people off of hard earned money and taking advantage of these difficult times.

We retain the service of a REAL attorney that is representing us the way we should had done since the beginning; we just want the 2 months ($800.00) we paid to this company back.

I would like to compliment Jamie for a great job. She is wonderful to talk to and adds a comfort level to this whole process. She is easy to stay in contact with and is very diligent about returning e-mails and phone calls. She got almost immediate results for me on my car loan and even though she is dealing with a difficult company ( Wilshire) on the mortgage she is staying on it and I have no doubt there will be positive results.
Truly great customer service!

I put their name in yahoo search, and didnt like what I read...went to BBB.com, & they have NO complaints? they actually accrediate thiss company! These people somehow contacted my parents who are elderly and live on a fixed income and convinced my dad to send them $399. They promised to save him all kinds of money but would only deal with him through email. They claimed to have mailed him information and an application, but said that it must have gotten lost in the mail. The only reason I got involved was because they used my little brother’s email address to get the application. He called me and I looked into this crooked company and put a stop to it after the first payment. I gave my dad his money back since I knew these thieves would not. It is shameful that they would take advantage of an old couple like this. My dad fought in Vietnam and served is country well for twenty five years and to be done like this by these evil prowlers is unthinkable. I refuse to believe that the positive comments on this site are from real customs and I hope all that read this feel the same.

My husband and myself would like to thank you for all the assistance you provided during the lending process. We appreciate the opportunity allowed to us to be able to achieve a lower mortgage rate. I don't think I can even begin to tell you what a financial struggle we've been through as a family the last few years. The lower rate that you locked in for us will help us keep on track with our home payments and free up a little money which will make our teenage children pretty happy as well. I started dealing with this company last week. When I called they got some information from me. They asked me if I was having problems paying my mortgage. I stated no I was just trying to get a lower interest rate. The person I spoke to said that they could only help if I was having problems. But he seemed that he could help. They were going to tak money out of my account, $299.95 but needed paperwork back including a hardship letter. I then received a call from them reminding me of the start date. I called them back and the people who I spoke to didn't seem to know who I was. Don't they keep records and can look me up in the computer? Hopefully they will refund my money but by the few reviews I have seen on here I doubt it.

I would like to first thank you for working on my file over the past couple of months. You have done a great job at responding to my many questions and phone calls. I know you probably have many other clients yet you never fail to return a phone call or respond to an e-mail. I can truly tell you can empathize with my family's circumstances by hearing the eagerness in your voice to have this matter resolved.
