WOW!!! We had recessed lights installed today and I have to say that this company has impressed me in so many ways. The staff is so professional and truly cared about our home. We had several quotes for our lights, and to our pleasant surprise theirs was actually the lowest! I will be using Install My Lights again in the future and will not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends. Great job guys!

There's no such thing as perfection. Until you meet Install My Lights! I am a journalist by trade -- which means my expectations and skepticism are high. I scrutinize, research, review, and judge. My interaction with this company (from the very first phone call to the final finished product) has been nothing but outstanding. The owner, Andrew, met with me in June for an estimate. I was really impressed with his detailed & timely quote and NO pressure demeanor. I was almost certain I couldn't afford this company because they looked like such a first-class operation (from their quality brochures to their van to their impeccable customer service, etc). I got 4 quotes for this job and Andrew's was one of the lower quotes. I chose Install My Lights not because they were reasonably priced (although that was a big consideration) but more for their top-notched professionalism. I was getting my entire kitchen remodeled (so cost is definitely an issue) and the lighting would be the crowning effect. Andrew and Carlos showed up punctually, looking clean and professional. I had 15 contractors traipsed through my home/kitchen in a 4 day period and Install My Lights was the only one that took the extra care to preserve my furniture, carpet, walls, surroundings. Sure, everyone else laid down plastic and dirty tarps and such, but no one prepped like Install My Lights. They draped plastic sheeting all around the kitchen walls and floor, creating a bubble that caught stray primer and drywall texture drops. They were even kind enough to lend a hand when the tiler was singlehandedly trying to move the stove back into position and level it. Andrew and Carlos were there 3 hours and when they left, there was zero trace of them left behind -- except for the gorgeous final product of their work. The plumber was there at the same time and had turned off the water for repairs. Andrew asked if he could turn the water back on to hose down my driveway before leaving. The plumber was at lunch, so I told Andrew don't worry about it because I didn't want to risk turning the water back on. Andrew actually seemed to feel bad for leaving the driveway "a mess." (I checked the driveway and there was no mess at all!) We had electricians from another company come out a couple of months ago to do work in our den and they made SO MANY holes and their patch job was really bad (we're still waiting for them to come out to fix it up) AND they damaged some of my furniture, light fixtures, crown molding, and walls! They make me feel like I'm impossible to please because I expect the texture to match the existing wall/ceiling! They say it's impossible to match it exactly -- but Andrew did it! We've always heard that remodeling is 1) dusty/messy; 2) full of surprises (especially in additional costs) and 3) never goes smooth. Install My Lights debunked every single one of those stereotypes. They left my house cleaner than it was when they got there. There were no "surprises" or "oops" that popped up. And the entire process could not have sailed along any more smoothly. If only the rest of my renovations would go this way! The lights are stunning. Once I recoup financially from the kitchen remodeling, I'm having Install My Lights come back to do recessed lighting in my bedroom and ceiling fans in a few bedrooms. Also, the front office receptionist/manager Linda Nguyen was great at communicating and keeping me apprised of developments and changes. Outstanding company in every aspect.

Install My Lights did an excellent job putting in 3 celling Fans and 32 new recess lights in vaulted ceilings of 18 feet him. Professional and honest staff very helpful in decisions. Highly recommend.

Fantastic process, we had over 20 lights installed in our 100 year old home. They installed in a lathe and plaster original ceiling, a wood panel ceiling, and a drywall ceiling (addition). All of the installations were perfect with a specific eye toward customer satisfaction.
All of the work was completed after they completely masked off the entire house, absolutely no mess once they were done. And what a difference good lighting makes in your home.
Cannot recommend the company highly enough.

Install My Lights recently installed recessed lighting and a ceiling fan in my family room. I was so thrilled with the service I received! The representative who came to give the estimate was very helpful and made every effort to ensure that we would chose lights we would be happy with. The crew who installed the lights were punctual and very professional. The lights look fantastic and the process left virtually no mess. All the holes were spackled and ready to paint. I highly recommend Install My Lights and will certainly be calling them for future lighting projects.

We were VERY happy with Install My Lights when they came to put in our recessed lighting in our kitchen and family room. It was easy to deal with them on the telephone to set up the appointment, and everything they promised they did! Their installers Carlos and Oscar were professional and cordial and highly skilled.

GREAT experience with this company!
This company was a pleasure to deal with. I've used them twice so far, and they were prompt, professional and courteous (BOTH TIMES) from start to finish. The first time around they completed my entire house in one day, and as promised, left the house clean and dust free! I was skeptical about that kind of work being able to be "dust free", but they did it!!
The second time I used them for a smaller job, but I got the same white glove, superior service. I will definitely use them for any lighting needs I have in the future.

Install My Lights is a very professional company. From there sales group to their installation personnel. The have just completed a lighting job for me and all work was done correctly in a short time frame. All aspects of the job were professional with a personal touch. The two gentlemen who completed my installation, Oscar and Carlos did a fine job and when it came to cleanup they also did a great job. I would recommend Install My Lights for any home electrical/modification work.

Install My lights were professional from the start to finish. Starting with the phone call to set-up an appointment. Not only did they send confirmation via email but also called to confirm the appointment. The estimator was on time and very professional. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. The installer was prompt and professional. He was very neat and tidy. I would recommend this company to anyone installing lights in their home.

Rarely do I write reviews. However, my recent experience with Install My Lights has to be noted.
I will write an extremely detailed review because, let’s face it, if I’m going to take the time to do this, I’m going to do it with gusto. When I read reviews, the ones that I find most valuable to me are the ones that are detailed. I read through reviews typically because I have specific questions that I want answered. Hopefully, this review will be appreciated by someone who reads reviews for the same reason as I do. Here goes…
Let’s start with the initial sales appointment. Unlike other companies that I called, Install My Lights actually offered to come out to my house to look at my project. The other companies just gave me quotes over the phone. This may sound like an ok thing to do, but I’ve had bad experiences with companies (plural) giving me a low price over the phone, showing up to do the work, and then charging more because “they didn’t know that ______ (fill in the blank with any excuse that will automatically add to the low price you were originally quoted).”
I wanted someone to come out and actually take a look at the project and then provide me with an estimate as accurate as possible. I have vaulted ceilings that are somewhat odd and hard to describe over the phone. There needed to be some discussion about how the lights and ceiling fans were going to be placed to accommodate the different angles. The rep from Install My Lights was very helpful. He didn’t try to use any high-pressure sales techniques to sell me on the spot.
I actually got more pressure from one of the companies that gave me a quote over the phone. He kept insisting that he could start the next day. He even called me several times over the next couple of days to try and close me. In contrast, the Install My Lights representative was extremely respectful and professional.
The rep from Install My Lights took the time to answer my questions. He showed me pictures of what to expect during the installation. He showed me their license, insurance, etc., and he even took the time to explain why those things are important.
Surprisingly, the estimate from Install My Lights was right around the estimates that I was getting from the other companies. They weren’t the cheapest, but they weren’t overly more expensive. Here’s one thing that’s for sure, after the experience of actually having them do the work, I would’ve definitely paid more.
Now let’s move onto the day of installation. I was told by their office staff that the crew would be at my home between 8:00 – 8:30 am. I’ll have to be honest, I was expecting them to be there much closer to 8:30 am. After all, that’s been typical of my experience with other contractors and service companies. Surprisingly, they were there at 8:03 am. I even joked with them and said, “Were you guys waiting in the truck for a few minutes?”
The lead technician promptly and professionally introduced himself along with every member of his crew. My project was a large project, and they needed to have several crew members working on it. To my delight, every one of the crew members spoke perfect English. I know that this may not be ‘politically correct,’ but it was pleasant to be able to communicate with the workers, especially since they were inside my home. The entire crew was cleanly and professionally dressed in uniform. They were very polite, friendly, and professional.
After the introductions, the crew went right to work. They were fast! They were focused!
The first thing they did was REMOVE THEIR SHOES! They then put plastic down over my cherry mahogany hardwood floors and carpet from the front door to all of the rooms that they were going to be working in. After the floors were completed protected, only then did they put their shoes back on. I was completely impressed with the care that they took to protect my floors.
They then completely sealed off each room that they were going to be working in to make the installation process completely dust and mess free. They simply didn’t just put plastic over the furniture, they created a complete bubble around their work area!
They then went ahead and started to mark out where the lights and the fans were going to go. They confirmed the location of the lights and the fans with me for each of the rooms. When they ran into an issue that required minor adjustments, they were quick to communicate with me. After all, they all spoke perfect English, so none of the crew members was dependent upon a single individual when questions needed to be answered.
The installation process was flawless and painless.
Now let’s move onto the clean-up. To be perfectly honest, we scheduled the cleaning service to come out the day after the installation because we knew that the house would need it after all of that work being done. So needless to say, the house wasn’t perfectly clean to begin with.
Because they built a bubble around their work area, they captured all of the dust and debris from the installation. Once the protective plastic cover was removed from the floors, the shoes came off again. Not only that, they vacuumed all of the rooms that they had worked in and the hallways that they walked through. They basically cleaned every room that they were in. I half joked with them by telling them that they actually left the house cleaner than when they got there.
They completed the project on time. No ‘upsells’ were attempted. The price I was quoted was the final price that was asked to be paid.
I will recommend Install My Lights to my family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, and everyone I know because of my recent experience. They were simply outstanding!

The owners really care that the client is satisfied with the work. I can't think of another company that prioritizes customer service as much as these guys do. We hired this company based on a recommendation from someone I trust, and we will in turn recommend them to all our friends and neighbors.

I have used Install My Lights twice with excellent results each time. Their quotes are accurate and competitive. Two other good reasons to use them: they have an A+ BBB rating and they carry Workers Comp Insurance on their employees. This is really important to me because if someone gets hurt in my home I'm not responsible. Many other firms I got quotes from didn't carry Workers Comp Insurance or their workers were independent contractors. Install My Lights goes the extra step to protect you and their workers. Please support them with your business.
