Con team They send out a con team to upsell you on installing a clean out. They used a kitchen snake for a main line sewer clear with a measley 1.5" blade. No wonder they can't get through the roots. The "supervisor" also known as the sales man was sent out with the service man to start on the process early. Had to hire Sargeant Rooter (310) 428-2364 to do the job properly for half the price. DO NOT USE THEM.

What a rip off. I had a clog in my main sewer line. The guy comes out and charges me $500, works for about 20 minutes, claims he cannot unclog it and says I will need to spend at least $2-300 more for another line inspection and more service. The next day Action Plumbing comes out quickly unclogs the line for $89. I contacted the company's customer service department several times to discuss this issue but they don't return emails or phone messages if you have a problem. I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Do not use them at any cost.

I called rescue rooter to unclog a backed up toilet and tub. The original estimate was $285. Then the supervisor came out and told me it was going to be necessary to blast out the line with high water pressure. He posed it to me as if there was no choice. That was going to cost $2920.00. When I saw the detail on the charges in the contract afterwards, it appeared that they charged me $1280 to remove a 3 inch trap and 3 inch tee fitting and install a 3 inch comby and 3 inch ABS WYE for clean out. By the time they showed the area they were working on to me the existing trap had already been removed. Then they charged $1640 for hydro jetting the line. After they were done they said, actually the pipes were worn out and had to be replaced. SO I paid $2,920 just to clean out a line they were going to remove! That would cost another $3,300 estimated for about 45 feet of pipe. This Rescue Rooter Company in Gardena CA intentionally deceived, bait and switched, imposed hostage pricing and excessive billing. I know this because I had two plumbers come in afterwards who both said the clean out didn't need to be installed/changed, the charges were excessive and that they could do the $3,300 job for between $440 and $2,300 LESS. Also they said there was 60 feet of pipe , not 45. When we challenged Rescue Rooter later on the phone about they job they had done, they said they needed to install the new cleanout so they could put in their camera. The line inspection with camera was stated as 'free' on the sheet. I don't consider installing an needless cleanout for $1280 as free. This company is taking advantage of people.

Our toilet and bathtub were backing up. We asked them to snake the clean-out which would of covered clogs in the sink, toilet and tub (to the main line) Instead they chose to pull up the whole toilet and snake ONLY the main line. It cost $400. We also had what was to become a worthless 90 day guarantee. The next day our toilet was leaking and the tub was still backing up. They didn't re-seat the toilet correctly. They come out, re-seat the toilet and snake the main line again. The next day our tub is still backing up. They refuse to come out again or honor the guarantee. We paid $400 for absolutely nothing. We bought a snake, ran it through the clean-out and now the tub drains. Both times they came out they also tried to pressure us into all new pipes and try to tell us that was the problem was old pipes, which it totally wasn't. Avoid these scam artists at all cost!

My complaint is when i contacted rescue rooter because my shower was clogged one of the technicians told me it was my sewer line and will need to run a snake through my bath tub and remove my toilet for access to the sewer. I dont know much about plumbing so i went ahead and let him do it.

Well when he ran his snake through the toilet he told me that his snake got caught up something inside the line. Well then he said he will have to install a clean out in from of my home to get to the problem for $2500 so i was stuck and let him do it.

When he installed it he then told me that my sewer line is damaged seen by a sewer camera and said he needed to install a new sewer line using a sleeve (pipe lining). He told me it will be an additional $9600 so i agreed. Well they did all the work and finished.

Here is the catch come to find out he completely forgot to snake my shower and i spend over 11,000 for a new sewer and clean out the problem was still there. I contacted another plumber and he charged me $65 to snake my shower and that was the only issue. My shower was just clogged i contacted rescue rooter and they refused to give my money back and told me to go somewhere else. I am currently trying to sue them for my money.

I felt robbed and the man that was there left mud in my house from his boots and made a big mess. I will never call them again.

The Rescue Rooter office at 15707 South Main Street, Gardena, CA 90248 performed a cable job at my property on October 30

The original estimate to cable out the main line was $288.50.

Unbeknownst to my wife, there was another extra cable charge of $250, hidden underneath a piece of paper when she approved the original estimate for $288.50.

After the plumber completed the $288.50 cable job, he told her that he needed an additional cable and another machine, for an additional $250. When she protested, he told her that she had already approved it in the original estimate, and then he proceeded to lift off the paper that was hiding the extra cable notation and showed her that she already approved it.

Since our plumbing was totally plugged, with two (2) children at home, she did not have too many options. We had no drains for any of the showers, tubs, or sinks. We had no choice at that point but to let him proceed.

After he completed the second cable job, he then told her that he needed an additional $175 (reduced to $75 when she protested) to snake out the shower, for a total rip-off bill of $613.50.

This Rescue Rooter Company in Gardena CA intentionally deceived, bait and switched, imposed hostage pricing, and ripped-off my fiancee with their excessive and criminal billing.

I spoke with two (2) managers at the Gardena office but neither was able or willing to help. And both in fact tried weakly to justify their pricing with lame reasoning. I notified them that I was stopping payment on the check until a mutual reasonable price was agreed to.

I offered $363.50, which was the $288.50 for the original estimate and $75 add on to snake the shower. They reluctlantly agreed.

I am certain, that we are not the only victims of this company’s padded invoices, deception, bait and switch, excessive, and hostage pricing practices. This company needs to be stopped from ripping off any other consumers and they should refund what they stole from their other customers.
