I should have read all the posting here before I completed my inquiry on LMC website. I felt a bit nervous when was asked for my SSN, but thought they needed it to give me accurate quote. Little did I know 5 seconds later, I got a call from a rude rep with LoanDepot. I was furious when I was told that they had all of my information on file, even I didnt fill an application with them. I then got more calls and emails from all other lenders. I would suggest to everyone to avoid LMC and never give them your personal information, like I did.

There is no good reason this company receives an A+ rating on this site. LowerMyBills.com sucks you in by getting you to give them your personal information and then they sell your information to lenders who bombard you with phone calls, e-mails, etc. It's impossible to stop this because the once entered, the information is immediately sold downstream. It is impossible to contact LowerMyBills.com as they do not list a phone number on their site and do not respond to e-mail complaints. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ultimately, this company is owned by Experian, one of the three major credit reporting agencies in the US. Giving them your SSN is not the problem because Experian already has this information on you (should you have established credit within the US), but by completing LMB's online form, you're autorizing them to SELL your contact information, which is why consumers receive annoying calls and emails. LMB/Experian makes million of dollars per quarter from large broker firms to small business owners who purchase your information. You're better off researching mortgage companies, auto insurance, cellular service, online schools (I'm referring to LMB's sister company, ClassesUSA - which operates under the same roof), etc., on your own.
Experian Interactive Media (aka LMB and ClassesUSA) is just a middle man taking advantage of online consumers seeking to make their lives easier with a one step process. Instead, consumers are left with a huge headache due to the barrage of calls and emails.

LowerMyBills.com, well where do I start? First and foremost acquires personal information from other sources then their web site questionnaire. They use that information to conduct illegal ROBO Marketing calls. They violate Federal Privacy Statutes and Constitutional Right of Privacy. They sell the information to financial lending institutions or business who wish to rent or purchase their lists as a means of monetary support. If they have called you from one of their marketing lists please contact the Federal Trade Commission, the FBI IC3 complaint division, the BBB and Consumer Affairs. I did so and they have several legitimate complaints lodged against them already. The only way to have them cease their illegal activity is to make the necessary complaints.

Don't even start completing the questionnaire unless you want to be bombarded with emails & phone calls. I closed my browser once I saw that they would be sending my info out to various lenders. I never accepted their terms, but within minutes of closing my web browser I started getting emails & phone calls at both my home & work. This company doesn't respond to any thing directly.. BEWARE!!

As I was filling out the information, I stopped on SSN and decided to click on the BBB link at the bottom of the page. I got a warning from my computer that this sites (the BBB link at the bottom of the page) license had expired in October this year. I then clicked on all other links, and then came to BBB's real site. After reading reviews, I'm glad I didn't follow through with my request for more info.

Ok, this LowerMyBills site is horrible. I went through and entered my name, email address and phone number. Then is asked...no demanded...that I enter in my SS#. I DON'T do that over the internet, so I got suspicious and searched for reviews of this website. I found this page and immediately decided not to proceed with the filling out of the forms. Unfortunately they already had enough info and sure enough not even 15 minutes later I started getting a ton of emails and phone calls ALL AT THE SAME TIME! I mean I literally got 5 calls one right after the other while I was still on the phone telling the first person to take me off their call list. I've never had anything like this happen to me before. I will NEVER fill out anything like this ever again.

Terrible experience with this service.
I filled out a form requesting quotes for auto insurance. Not only did I not get a comparable quote to my existing insurance but I soon began to get calls for all kinds of services; from Disney movie club (I've never heard of these guys before this), to some online college saying I requested info.
Now I cannot prove that lowermybills.com sold my info to these 3rd party's - but I doubt that it's a coincidence that I started to get calls from businesses far outside the insurance world the week I filled out this form.
After this experience I will never fill out another "quote" form again. Total waste of my time, and time to come.

Someone has enrolled my cellular number falsely on this website. I've been receiving non-stop phone calls and cannot differentiate between important calls or sales calls any longer. This is a work phone and so you can imagine this is crucial to communicating with my hotel staff. Please help me immediately remove my number and track where this source came from.

These people obtained my phone number illegally and gave it out with out my consent and I have been swamped with annoying phone calls for services that I did NOT want or did NOT request. Do not trust this service.

LMB opens "accounts" in your name with other web based businesses. See end of review for details.
LMB boldly declares that they will provide you with comparative figures for various financial undertakings if you will simply answer a few questions. The few questions turns into a few pages. But I answered them all (on purpose, based on previous experience, I fudged some of the items that were irrelevant to what I wanted to get figures for.) Then you hit submit. Instead of getting the promised figures, you invariably get an "oops" page. It contains a vague sentence about the system being messed up and tells you that they can't give you the figures they promised to give you in exchange for your info. Nor do they give you any information about maybe getting your figures through email or online at another time. So, what has taken place is that you've been bled of your personal financial data, some very sensitive, and in exchange, you get nothing. They crazily follow this up with an invitation to visit another part of the site and give them even more information.. (I, of course, do not supply accurate information of a sensitive nature. When I called them after the first time I was told there was no way to get my info off their system. Interesting how it only breaks after they've got what they want from the user. The site clearly exists only to build targeted marketing lists. Beyond that, I am concerned about the collection of sensitive data by a "system" that breaks so frequently. Also, LMB would be a great place to start a career as an ID thief.
As if to prove my point about the ID scam potential, I immediately received phishing email from something called CareOneCredit.com thanking me for joining (I had never even visited their site) and asking me to complete the process by providing credit information. The "account" they told me I'd opened had the same information that I'd used on LMBs.

Lower My Bills asks you for personal information which you might expect to get a quote or information your seeking (as you would gieco or esurance or progressive). Instead, your information is taken and sent to vendors\suppliers\bankers\insurers or whoever matches your search criteria. Expect phone calls from people totally unrelated to Lower My Bills looking for your business. This is bad business and I feel totally defrauded of personal information. Beware!

Their website site "insisted" on a full SS#, which I finally supplied. 2 refinance companies did run credit checks, but they were in error, and I was under the impression there was to be no charge. I spent a day on the phone trying to talk to actual bodies, with some success, with the 3 different credit reporting agencies. I was surprised to see 2 charges against my account today thru a "privacymattersidentity.com" (CT). I didn't see these coming, & and that's shady business at best. As yet, I have found no way to access these people without supplying "the Credit Card # which was charged". That's not going to happen!

This company is a scam. I discovered that it is actual part of one of the Credit Bureaus and prays on individuals who are having credit issues. When you fill out your information and read the terms and conditions, if you choose not to continue they still broadcast your credit information to companies who may or may not be credit related. I tried to opt out at the point I read the Terms and Conditions but my credit information was still sent out to credit repair firms and credit negotiators who charge a fee. They are scammers and prey on individuals who are simply looking for assistance with credit problems. They misrepresent themselves as a company who helps consumers "Lower Their Bills". But in fact they scam money for nothing.

Somehow my cell phone number was put in my in error or by scam and they having been calling non-stop for 3 days. To no avail, with customer service they will not stop calling. I think this is a bogus company or they have really bad communication within their own company.

In case like the BBB itself, the previous reviews have not already convinced you that this is a criminal enterprise, NOT a busssines, and NOT an Experian Co. (Check a real Experian site; they describe the scam I fell for to a 'T'.), here's my experience:
I responded to an email offering low refinancing rates. INot specific, in my case) After filling in all my personal info, and twice clicking to "see my quotes", I saw instead an offer of a free credit report. When I clicked on that, I found out it was a one week trial offer for a subscription, I was not interested, but there was no way back. Since, like their BBS report, their site said "An Experian Co.", I went there and asked for a Fraud Alert. I thought I was safe until they came to work in the morning, but they had already requested my info from Experian, and sent me an email turning me down w/o reason for refinancing. Either these are automated or they work 24/7. I don't think they should get a lot of credit for returning one victim's money after they were reported to the FBI! Sorry no zero star rating is available; they deserve a very minus rating and THE BOOT! Watch out for them under other names and with other scams, as the other victims reported.

Do not give out any information to this company. They are hoping you will give them your SS number and information for marketing research and/or identity theft. I followed through with their questions and there were no offers for a loan. They denied me. At the beginning of their email ad, they offered 2% interest as a new FED rate which was activated recently. On the final page, they are offering 5.25% interest only to the customers they choose. This is my second time I got snookered and I hope you didn't either.

Do not use this company under any circumstance. Once they get you information, all of their so called clients will do an inquiry on your credit which will immediately lower your credit scores. Their lenders will then call your numbers 5 or more times a day. It is just plain harassment and they should have their license revoked and should not have a good rating here on the BBB.

This company provides very little return for the customers time, information and agreement to terms of use which includes a potentially "negative" credit effect. Particularly of concern is the use of the "Experian" name credibility which was a deciding factor in my attempt to use this company and allow a credit interrogation just to garner current home refinance rate information. At the end I received "zero" information or terms which I could use to compare against other market tools. As a consumer I don't need a phone interrogation with verbal promises, what I need are solid rates and terms in writing that I can use to make follow-on decisions. I have expressed the same concern to "LowerMyBills.Com" and to my local Congressman.
