Great Service from Merit Financial
I was a first time metal buyer in any quantity, and was unsure of how the results of dealing with a firm over 3000 miles away would work. After receiving several sales packages from different vendors, I decided to try Merit, and was not disappointed at
all. Account Executive Michael Goldstein was most helpful and answered all my questions and walked me through the buying process. The most difficult part for me was waiting while my certified funds cleared (which was less time than predicted)and having Michael
promptly call me and verify that the funds had been received. He then helped me negotiate the purchase of the coins that I wanted and placed the order. After a week, I was a little disappointed that I had not received my coins, and was advised that they had
been placed on back order and it could be several weeks before they became available. After reading several Internet articles concerning shortages of these coins I patiently waited. A few days later, Michael called and advised me that the coins had been shipped!
After a reasonable time, I received the coins well packed and in good order. I have no reason to complain at the service, and was particularly pleased with Michael Goldstein's personal and accurate service. I would certainly recommend his services to anyone

I have worked with Joe Grossman at Merit Financial many times over the past couple of years, and I have found him to be efficient, clear, and reliable. He has fulfilled my requests to be notified at shipment time, and the whole process worked like clockwork.

I paid in full 4 weeks ago. Directed to buy product they had in stock. Never received product.
If you want to wire someone $1500 and talk to a whole lot of voicemails then this is your place. I wanted American silver eagles but was told to buy Brittania coins for immediate shipment. My local politicians could learn a thing or two from these storytellers

Thirty-five (35) days after Merit Gold received my funds via bank wire you send me an e-mail saying my order was shipped (and after I have requested a refund)! This is unacceptable. I want my money back. When my order was placed on 4/15/2013, I was given
the impression that the coins I was purchasing were in stock and available for immediate shipment. Three weeks later I was assured it would be just another week or so. It's now 5/20/13 and the "Manager" tells me he has no idea when I will get the coins, but
he is sure there will be no refund. Yeah, right! This was my initial order with Merit Gold, and I had planned to purchase at least 10 times this amount in the next few months. This was a simple test purchase which YOU FAILED COMPLETELY. Merit has lost credibility
and can not be trusted. The only thing I want from you NOW is a refund. I have no interest in doing business with someone I can't trust!

AVOID MERIT TO BUY ANYTHING
Placed my first and last order. Never again! Slow to ship product but quick on promises. Bait and switch is common. Should have read the fine print on NO RETURNS. Stay with a reputable company instead.

Horrible Customer Service
Placed an order online this morning. Received e-mail saying order and price would not be confirmed until a Merit rep called me back. It has been now more than 5 hours and I have heard nothing from them. Price of what I purchased has gone up more than $200.
Will cancel my order and never buy from them again.

Good service.
I got pretty good service from Merit. My account manager is Michael Goldstein @ 800-564-8189 Ext. 303, He was great. I can't say much more than "He was great." It took a few weeks for my order to be shipped, but That's' be cause inventories across the
country were short or simply gone. Given that - the delay was reasonable, actually I kind of expected it. Besides, it wasn't like I was going to "use" my purchase right away, so..... I missed the part that free shipping was for the first purchase only. That
was my fault, though. But the one thing that is a negative, is that before you can confirm an order, the money has to be deposited into your account and cleared. I understand that a number of precious metal dealers have that policy now also. Merit doesn't
have Internet based ACH clearing so that means writing a check and mailing it. That's about the only negative about Merit, but that's seems to be a normal practice now.
