We paid them Monet to handle a home modification & B K, however we are going through the stress handling are home loan with B O A & well dealing with are creditors because the guy handling our case got embarrassed because he was scolded by the judge to handle are case properly ( some what in those words). He gave us to some one else that was experience, which is not, he is not a lawyer and stated he only takes messages. The lawyer backed out of the whole thing leaving us to handle everything & taking our money. We sent them emails after we declined to give them money to join a class action suit to sew the bank. Frustrated & hopefully I don't loose my home because of their actions.

Mesa law firm fraudulently represents themselves as a legal firm that will develop a loan modification package for the client to present to their lender. In my experience, Mesa has not provided anything, literally. It took several passes for me to get a signed copy of their contract. Since then, they have not returned calls or emails and only occasionally will you actually be able to speak to someone as they almost never pick up. My advice, stay very far away from this firm....it's a scam.

This is a total scam. BEWARE OF ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE A "MORTGAGE COUNSELOR". They were really anxious to receive my $2500, so they could lower my mortgage from $2000 to $1300 mo. after all, it's time sensative material and should be taken care of immediately. Then they send a notary to your house who charges you an additional $125. Once you give them all the paperwork that you should've given the bank (and bypassed them), then I didn't hear from them for 5 months (even though they said the whole process would only take about 60 to 90 days). They led me to believe that they were going to deal with the bank... they obviously didn't. They finally sent my paperwork back to me with little "sign here" stickers on it... it was the same exact paperwork that the bank sends you when you request a modification. They led me to believe that they had an unfailable plan, and I qualified for the mortgage, and if the bank didn't give it to me then they would go to congress and even to court for me. So, after they held onto my paperwork for five months and sent it back I had to gather up my more recent paystubbs, bank statements etc. and send it to the bank. For some reason though, Mesa law group held onto my bank statements, not sure what that was about. Anyway, after being denied a modification, they said their services with me were completed. If you have more money than brains these are they guys for you, or just give it to me, at least I won't lie to you and I'll return your phone calls. I feel like such a fool for being scammed and victimized... they are liars and cheats! In the end, I didn't get the modification, had to do double the paperwork, and my house is in the process of foreclosure... I'm making a modest income supporting a family of three, wondering when the bank will kick us out onto the street. I wonder how people like this can sleep at night, probably on really expensive mattresses! The positive views sound like they were written by employees of MLG. They also asked me to lie to the bank and tell them that i'm not married, so they couldn't count the income my husband made while he still had a job... but that didn't make any sence becuase even if I did lie, they look at your tax forms, we file jointly, they said don't worry about that, just lie to them, they won't look at your tax forms...(why would they ask for your tax forms if they weren't going to look at them?) unfortunately that was after I already gave them my $$.

I need to compliment Amber Madison at Mesa Law Group. She was friendly and comforting through our year long modification process. As soon as our case get handled by her, we received weekly updates and we also received a modification offer from Chase. Thank you Amber. You are the best and I wish you well!

I am filling a complaint for the lack of services that i received from you firm. I requested Eviction Protection, entered in to a contract with your Firm and nothing was done about. Your contract states you would prepare these s documents Preparation and investigation of the case Filing complaint Answer of any and all complaints Preparation of Evidence Preparation and client counseling for the court hearing These documents never were prepared. I have made repeated calls to John Ludlow and his last comments to me were “the proof we have done something is that you are still in your house. I don’t want to hear you cry about what we haven't done.” I am prepared to make a complaint to the California Bar Association William Swick

we chose Mesa Law group for our Bankruptcy because of their BBB rating and cost. The Loan Mod was included, and of course we wanted to look into a lower ,more affordable payment. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone. It went very quickly in the beginning. Due to the time that we started the process, many others were in our same situation and the local group became inundated with work. Although it took what seemed like a long time to us, Mesa was in contact with us, and we could call and get good information on where things were each time we called. The only criticism I can think of was that we should have been informed that our bankruptcy needed to be completed before the loan mod was started, so the mod WE initiated with our loan company was denied initially. Also our loan company was a royal PAIN, and their automated messages were scary. But the people at Meas helped us through it all and we have a Mod that cut our payment 25%, a good, helpful thing.

The services we received from Mesa Law Group and Denny Lake in particular were outstanding. We had a really bad negative amortization loan with Bank of America that was over a million dollars and growing with every payment even though the value of our home was decreasing, as was our income during the recession. Our payments were based upon an interest rate of 3.9%, but actual interest was accruing at over 8%, and we could not refi into a better loan because the value of our home had decreased so much. We first applied on our own for a loan mod with B of A in December of 2008 and later worked with two different law firms and made a total of seven submittals to B of A with out success. B of A would always manage to lose the paperwork in the process after being told we were close to getting an offer. My wife and I assumed we would lose our home once the payment adjusted to an amortizing payment, doubling our minimum payment. Then I was introduced to Denny Lake in August of 2010 at Mesa Law Group by Bobby Foster, a friend of mine that had recently joined Mesa Law Group. Denny outlined his "Advocacy Program" to my wife and me and provided us with hope that we would be able keep our home. We signed up for the program. Jonathon Bourquardez was assigned by Mesa Law Group as our negotiator with the Bank of America. The Mesa Law Group team of Denny Lake, Jonathon Bourquardez, and Bobby Foster did a superior job that resulted in the permanent modification of our loan in January 2011. The loan now has a fixed interest rate of 2% for the next 5 years, then gradually inches up to 5.375 by year 9 and stays at that level until the loan is paid off. Thank-you so much Denny, Jonathon, and Bobby Sincerely Greg & Mary Jane

Wow!!!!!! Mesa failed to perform as it agreed. In Nov 2009, I hired Mesa Law Group to get us a fixed rate loan modification and paid them $3,000 because I was informed that there were illegal stipulations in our original loan documents that would enable them to do this. After being denied two times by the lender, I believed what I was told and mailed our original loan docs that were returned to me without any mention of what was found.
Two month after hiring Mesa, In Jan 2010, Mesa managed to get a quick response from the lender by getting us into a forbearance agreement of making six payments that were $500 less than our mortgage payment. I was pleased. After six months this agreement was to become completed and a loan modification become final. Well, nothing happened. I continued being asked by Mesa to send the same documents repeatedly because the lender was requesting them. The hired attorney never called the lender to find out what happened. One year went by of making these forbearance payments and Dec 30, 2010, we received a letter from the lender stating that our property was in foreclosure. The attorney as of this date never called the lender. I had to resolve the problem myself. I find Mesa to be deceptive, misleading and incapable of doing what they promise to do. I had no legal representation in resolving this matter.

I did not have a positive experience with Mesa Law Group. I intially contracted with them to do a loan mod for me when I had just enetered a trial period for my Wells Fargo Mortgage. I was advised to let them try to do a loan mod instead of entering the trial period I had set up with the bank. About 9 months later I was offered by wells fargo to put the arrears back into the loan which I was also advised to reject. After that, the house went into foreclosure. I asked to have half of my loan mod payment (2500 total - half is 1250) returned because mesa did not succeed in getting me a mod done (by their own admission) as was stated in their initial contract.
Here is the really bad part - I entered a program to postphone sales dates on a monthly basis while attempts were still made by mesa to modify the loan. I confirmed with wells fargo, the wells fargo trustee, and the wells fargo foreclosure attorney that my first two sales dates had been postphoned by them due to my recent chapter 7 bk filing. The agreement in the foreclosure program is to pay 1750 each time the mesa attorney has to act to postphone a sales date. Well, the mesa attorney (Mike Quintanilla) initially claimed that he was the one who postphoned the first two sales dates. Upon telling him that this was not true per my 3 others sources, he immediately backed off of his claim and promised to postphone the next sales date. I agreed to this. Mike then claimed he postphoned the third sales date the day before the house went to auction. About a month later, I called the bank and found out that the house sold at auction on the sales date that he claimed to have postphoned.
I have recently been told that I am not getting back the 1750 either because Mike again is claiming he postphoned one of the first two sales dates (which I know and can prove is not true). As for the third sales date, Mike is not interested in discussing 1) why he told me it was postphoned when it was not 2) why he did not advise me of this and I had to find out on my own a month later and 3) he now seems to be having trouble getting back to me with an explanation for all of this but of course plans on keeping all of the money.
In conclusion, the intitial 1250 I mention I am obviously not thrilled about not getting back. However, I can acknowledge that they at least tried to do something for me with the bank. There was some work done and some effort made - the bank just refused to mod the loan. I think I am due the 1250 back, but I at least can live with this part. As for the 1750, I have been advised that what happened is pretty much fraud. Mike attempted to claim he postphoned all 3 sales dates (which was not true all 3 times as I can prove) while he was suppose to be my attorney acting in my best interest! Also, after claiming to postphone the 3rd sales date and claiming that he did so, he never got back to me to tell me that it did not work out. So, I do not fault him for not being able to postphone the sales date, I fault him for keeping the 1750 and not telling me a month after the fact that the home was bank owned for about a month. Had I known this, I likely would have gotten out of the house immediately. Now I am being harrassed by a realtor who is threatening to evict me (which is a permanent part of my rental history and makes it impossible for me to find a rental) while I scramble to get out of the house on short notice.
I now cannot get a hold of Mesa to address any of my concerns and/or an explanation as to why they are keeping the 1750 in particular. It appears they are just going to ignore me and keep my money knowing that there is nothing I can really do to get the money back. Well, what I am going to do is complain on every message board and agency that I can find. Maybe this will help me get a response.
I was just reading Mesa's web site regarding their foreclosure delay program (or whatever they are caling it). It states on the website that they will never collect the money up front and that they will only collect the money after the services are rendered. THIS IS A FLAT OUT LIE!!! Mike Quintanilla demanded that I pay him up front so that he could "have the money ready in case he needed it to postphone a sales date." So, even though he never was responsible for delaying a sales date (which I can prove), he is going to keep the money anyways.

I was very reluctant to get involved with any law firm trying to get a mortgage modification, everyone told me it was a waste of time and money. I talked to several companies and when I found Mesa Law Group I heard something different. First thing was they didn't say it was a sure thing,it is a process and it will take work and some patience. I am convinced that the banks or its collection agents want you to give up. Michael and Denny at Mesa always gave me valuable information and encouraged me not to give up. Denny's advocacy program gets results,I have a modification at 2.1% for 5 years and a reduced rate of 5.6% for the rest of the loan. These are amazing results, and I wouldn't have made it without these guys. Thank you Mesa Law Group.

I'm sorry to tell you but we've been scammed by this company.
The first time we spoke on the phone with the representation she completely mis informed us. She said they would take care of the whole process and if we don't get modification they will refund our money back. Instead they charged us $2000 for putting together a package (send you a list of required docs), which would you put anyways if you went through the bank directly (bank would do the same thing). And gave us a phone number to the bank and told us this is it, you gotta call the bank and go through the process. So we paid $2000 for them to send us few pieces of paper and no additional help. And now that our modification has been declined they would not return any phone calls, and its absolutely impossible to get a hold of anyone in that company, it all goes to the voicemail, and then nobody would return your call.
Be warned!

I was so frustrated with my mortgage compagny who kept on asking me for papers for a year and half, denied me, then re-contacted asking for more and more papers..just stalling me..I was very skeptical about companies helping you get a loan modification that I ignored all the mail I got from them..then since I was going nowhere on my own, in desperation I tried Denny Lake at Mesa Law Group..the result was incredible..my mortgage compagny who usually ignored my calls, got me an offer within a week of receiving the letters Denny wrote for me and that I sent everywhere (Office of the president, governor, senator, assembly woman and so on..you name it) I don't know if my case fit the book perfectly but I sent my letters on December 15th 2010 and today Jan 10th the modification is done, I signed the papers Friday January 07 2011.I still cannot believe how Denny was efficient. He was very responsive, active, fast and got amazing results for me..he was worth every penny I spent on him , which was not that much compared to what most lawyers charge..I told him he should advertise his services and buy an ad in the LA times to inform all frustrated homeowners that it can be done and there are ways to have the banks cave in..

They are not to be trusted They promised many things which never happen and when confronted they make up stories. They took my money and gave me this paperwork to send in but in the reality the banks do what they do for FREE and will not accept their package so we had to do over the hole thing again with the bank. They take you money do not return calls and make false statements and promises. And if anyone wishes to contact me I will tell them exactly what they will experience using Mesa Law Group. I paid $3,000 Dollars for a pile of papers and a pipe dream. I wish I could Give them Zero stars but I cant. And the last thing they have a lady that is supposed to be their customer service she has not returned one of my 10 attempts to call her I left detailed contact info every time

I had been trying to modify my loan with GMAC for six months, with no avail. Mesa Law Group helped me to stay focused and keep the eye on the prize. After a lot of frustration, I finally received a letter confirming a 3 month trial modification, which might lead to a permanent modification. thank you Mesa Law Group. Without their imput, and confidence, I might have given up months ago. Thank you for helping me save my house.

I am a personal friend of Paul, but my story may be the best of all. Paul took on my case for free and sent my case to Chase himself. He sat with me for two hours and made sure my case was sent in right. It took 8 months, but when it was finished I recieved a 2% 40 year fixed with a $156,000 principle reduction. They saved my house. Thank you Paul

After spending six months trying to get a loan modification on my own (with no success), I enlisted Mesa Law Group, after another month of checking and cross-referencing numerous "loan modification specialists". Right from my initial dialogue with Jordan Pate, my experience has been nothing but professional and thorough. The loan modification process is painfully slow and my impatience was assauged with expedience and due diligence. I would have no hesitation in referring anyone to Mesa Law Group for their loan modification solution. Like I say, I spent one month wondering which company would best suit my needs and found the Better Business Bureau and the reviews on that website very helpful.
