Last year I was looking for help with my debt and was talking to National Consumer Law Group. I found this page and almost stopped the process because of the comments. When I read them again I saw that they were talking about loan modifications and I questioned my conselor. She told me that they have never done loan modifications and that who ever the guy was that was doing them must not have made people very happy. She sent me the link to the BBB. I called the BBB. Since the company was showing as being accredited I wanted to know what they knew. http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco/business-reviews/attorneys-bankruptcy/national-consumer-law-group-a-professional-corporation-in-san-francisco-ca-372799 that is the link I went to. I have been in the program with them for a year and they have been and done everything they said they would. I think it's kind of crappy that sites are allowed to post opinions with out checking the validity of who is posting and if they are even posting about the correct company. Anyway, just wanted to say my 2 cents. I would not get involved with the people that do or did the mortgage stuff but the company that is helping with my debt is pretty great.

My name is Matthew Davis and I was the president of National Consumer Law Group LLC. I use the word 'was' because this corporation has not been active for many months. This can be confirmed by searching the California Secretary of State's website. The website listed by the BBB is not one I control and the mailing address is not correct. I've also noticed a carbon copy site of the www.nationalconsumerlg.com site located at: www.nationalconsumerla.com. Neither is an authorized entity of me or my law practice. Also, the State Bar license number the BBB listing provides is 236141. This is not my State Bar License number. My state bar license number is 218995. Sadly, despite my many verbal and written pleas, the BBB outrightly refuses to modify the listing in any way. I have recently obtained evidence that individuals claiming to be National Consumer Law Group are using my name to solicit and speak with individuals. These individuals are not authorized to do so on my behalf. If you have been contacted by these individuals and are willing to help me track these criminals down, please contact my office; anonymous tips are welcome. Notest to TrustLink

WARNING: Do not use this company. Ignore any good reviews. After looking at review, I signed in an agreement with this company in September. As soon as they received my final payment, communications almost came to a complete halt. I complained in December in order to get the loan processor to call me back, (it actually took 11 phone calls complaining), which resulted in one phone call from the loan processor. She actually told me that her other clients were more important.! I had to make the calls to the mortgage company myself to find out what info they needed, because they were not doing what I contracted them to do. What more, the following month in January, the loan processor did not send anything to the mortgage company, resulting in my loan app being canceled by the Mortgage company. Now, I expect to get a sell date very soon. They are causing me to loose my house. National did not tell me that the process was cancelled. They just kept letting me fax all my paperwork every month. If I did not get frustrated again and call the Mortgage company, I would be loosing my house in a couple of weeks. I still may! I believe I have called them at least 15 times a day and still no reply. This company is a SCAM! I reported them to the BBB of LA.

MY NEXT STEPT IS TO DEMAND ALL MY MONEY BACK AND IF THEY DO NOT GIVE IT TO ME WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAY, I WILL BY CONTACTING THE
ATTORNEY GENERAL, DRE AND THE ARIZONA AND CALIFORNIA STATE BAR.

People, don't be lazy and don't lose your money. Do your research before paying these type of companies. You'll see that many if not all are playing shell games with you. These type of companies change their company name on a daily basis to try and confuse you. Do some digging and you will reveal the truth and see that the company gets a F rating. Don't get scam or lose your hard earn money. This specific company also goes by the following contact info and if you do a bbb on them, they get F rating. If you have to, drive to their office, meet people in person, just do your research. 8774547501 Home Litigation Help 5855 Green Valley Circle Suite 209 Culver City, CA 90230 I feel sorry for those that are being taken advantage of, especially when you're down on your luck already.

I started my loan modification journey by interviewing several different companies. Every single company I spoke with sounded too shady, too pushy, too good to be true. I was ready to give up and just try negotiating with the bank myself. But thankfully I decided to try ONE more company, and that company was National Consumer Law Group. The representative at NCLG was extremely professional and helpful. He laid out all my options in a way that made me feel like he was just giving information, not desperately seeking a commission. I liked the fact that an attorney with a good reputation was in charge of this law firm. The representative told me exactly what I could expect to receive in a modification and didn't over-promise, as many of the other companies seemed to do. I felt very comfortable with NCLG and decided to retain their services. Everyone at the firm was very helpful and answered all my questions. I got a phone call from them approximately every other week with an update. Sometimes the update was simply "we're still waiting for the lender to respond," but it was very reassuring to know that they were still working on my case and my file didn't just fall into some crack. Also, they gave me a link and password so that I could check online any time I wanted to see what was going on in my case. Every conversation was time stamped and every letter and document that was generated between the bank and NCLG was available for me to see. I got my modification paperwork about 4 months later, and was pleased to see that NCLG had negotiated a savings of about $850 a month for me. It wasn't the "half off" my mortgage that one of the other companies claimed they could get (which seemed tempting but wildly unrealistic to me anyway), but still, $850 is nothing to sneeze at. I am very happy with NCLG overall and would not hesitate to refer a friend, colleague, or you, Internet stranger, to them. I have since recommended them to a neighbor and so far, he is happy and has had similar treatment. He has thanked me for recommending them.
