I have nothing but good things to say about Scott Burmaster and National Family Solutions. I have been through severe tribulation and trials and Scott and your staff helped bridged the gap between this time frame, and have aided me and given me a great piece of mind. Even my new attorney has heard of your good reputation. I thank National Family Solutions and Scott Burmaster for relieving a lot of my stress and for giving me hope that I will see my son again. I called the number listed below the name of the company to find more information that was not included in their web-page, nor the BBB page, only to be belittled by the customer service rep. I simply stated that I would prefer more information on my father's behalf so we could better understand the company and feel secure in applying our finances. The Customer Service rep was extremely rude, and felt the need to ramble aimlessly to me about how to look up the information "The CORRECT way". He tried to direct me to their web-page and would NOT allow me to ask him any questions regarding the company itself. He was rude, inconsiderate and seemingly annoyed that someone called to ask for information. I will not recommend this company to anyone asking for legal help due to this, and I am starting to think this company is a SCAM.

Well i have to say a couple of months ago when i contacted national family solutions i was very skeptical. i was a father that hasn't paid child support for several years. I was limited to less than the fingers on my hand to how many times i actually seen my daughter Alexis. Once i was put into contact with the representative he assisted me into the right direction to what i needed to do to establish rights as a father to a child. He also suggested that i keep my chin up. being positive is very important to the success to your case. now here two months after i started this process i have been in court and had success in my case.
Me and the defendant now have a temporary agreement and our working on the final agreement. Case is basically closed in about a four month window. i do know that four months is a very short time. please understand the court systems you are dealing could take longer. i know national family solutions works. it has worked for me. i would like to especially like to thank scott burmaster for all he has done to help me in my case. thanks for your advisement to tough it out, but more importantly to remain calm and positive.

The purpose of this letter is to share with you my experience and my utmost satisfaction with your company, particularly Ms. Tara Nixon, my case manager.
With her assistance I was able to file two petitions. The first was for child visitation interference and the second was to modify the Judgment. This modification included a request that the court grant me full sole custody of my nine year old daughter.
Most said "Don't waist your time. Illinois does not grant full custody to the father."
Enter National Family Solutions, Ms. Nixon, Ms. Bright and a very determined father.
During my conversations with Ms. Nixon, she listened and then asked all the right questions. She then conveyed the details to Ms. Robin Bright, who typed up the petitions and then provided me with the instructions for what to do next. My two angels were there every step of the way with prompt answers and guidance.
Not only was it remarkable that together we were able to get sole custody, the three us of did it in less than four months.
I filed the papers on July 7, 2010 and the court awarded me custody on October 13, 2010.
It is my greatest hope that you will recognize Ms. Nixon and Ms. Bright for their outstanding work.
There is no way that I could thank them enough.
Ms. Nixon and Ms. Bright were part of the answer to my prayers.
Again, thank you for helping me get my sole custody of daughter.

My experience with you has been fantastic! I am so happy with the out come. I was having no luck finding any one to represent me as I have no job and it looked like I was not going to win anything or even stand a chance to get out with my shirt on my back. I was scared to say the lest so I made a call. I was met with friendly people who knew how I felt and wanted to help. They took all my questions and helped me threw the whole process it was amazing. They were always there to take phone calls and emails and never got sick of me. I had a lot of worries and they calmed me down and gt me threw. They handled all my paper work and walked me threw it all making defending my self a breeze. Now I have settled out of court and I got everything I wanted. I am so happy and stress free. I just would like to let everyone know in case you do not hear it clearly from one of the employees of this company, if you seek their assistance before your served for child custody, like I did, Make sure you have the full balance by the time you are served. I found out that my son's mother filed for custody and called National Family Solutions. They charged us $100.00 to hear our plee's take our notes. I told them I was waiting to be served and they informed me that I was to contact them as soon as I was served. They told me that the entire ordeal might reach up to $1200.00 and that I was able to make payments to them. What was not made clear was the payment option was not for the retainer. It was $850.00. The "payment option", was the $59.00 a month they charge you to keep the case open until there is a judgment.
When I was served they would not do anything furthur on my case until they had the balance paid in full. Please don't get me wrong, I'm sure the staff there are great people in fact I dont have a problem with Tom or Scott. They could have made the payment option more clear. That is my only concern. I did recieve a refund of the original $100.00. And they have since been very polite and professional. They informed me that I was welcome back any time if I needed any help in the future

This is my testamonial that everything was as stated in the contract with National family solutions thru Scott Burmaster and his crew and was done timly and satistfactoryly, and as for the fianical part the contact was excellent , reaching someone by phone was also very available didnt have to listen to a recording, codos of to Scott and the crew . word to mouth on my part if anyone should neeed the same help I refer them to you guys. thanking u and your,s I remain. a satistfied client.

In November of 2009 My husband and I decided that it was time to seek legal custody of our two grandchildren,We did not know where to start. I called National Family Solutions and talked first to Scott. He was most helpful in getting me started. His advice was accurate, very professional and in tune with my needs.When we had questions we had no hesitation in contacting him and felt confident that we would get the answer we were was looking for. We were then turned over to Jackie Garcia she was terrific.She prepared my documents and helped me through the process.
When Jackie and Scott had seen to it that every paper was signed and perfect for presentation to the court, we were once again on our own. The help they had given us served us well. WE knew what we had to do. In March the judge accepted our petition and our little girls are now safe and secure.
I don't know how to thank them enough. The fees were so reasonable and when we saw the volume of paoerwork that went with the petition we were amazed.

Sincere Thanks to National Family Solutions and our case manager Scott Burmaster. We are so pleased with the outcome of our Son being able to establish his rights to our Grandson. We were lost in what to do to get him the legal help he needed without spending a fortune. Our case manager walked us through the process and our Son was able to stand in court with the confidence he needed. This showed him the importance of what steps to take. The Judge was thankful for his respect in the matter and was so much easier on him than we expected. Over all Jose's and my experience with National Family Solutions has been wonderful. We were looking for an organization to provide us with inexpensive but quality representation. Not having a lot of money to spare, we hired National family Solutions to put together the necessary documentation for us to petition the court to terminate the Jose's daughter's guardianship . Not only did they complete the documentation but they were also able to locate a lawyer that would represent us at a discounted rate. At first we were so worried about whether we were going to be able to afford the legal costs but National Family Solutions provided us a way to not only afford the costs but also feel confident in our case. The people at NFS are great , knowledgable and easy to talk with in my case for someone that knew nothing about courts or the law and my rights as a father. also since i have never been around the legal system of any kind it was a great asset to have they trained me and helped me step by step not only with the paperwork but also the approach and what to say the day of the court every time i called and left a msg they responded promptly and answered all my questions and boy i had many from the most simplest to hard they were answered . in my case that my ex and my daughter lived in a dif state they were great help and pinpointed me where to go .

I went to court for modification on child support Well I come out owing $637 per month I call national family solutions and they say well that isn't to bad So I asked them what they did for $1200 and they said did alot of research No I went got the paper work. So to just write up a petition on the right legal documents$1200.

I would use this company again if I needed help with family law issues. I tried for eight years to get custody back of my two children, and every time I would go to court for my self the judge would send me on my way. Nothing accomplished! I talked to several lawyers and they would give me a price that was no where in my budget. Then as you know you would have to put at least half up front. National Family Solutions was affordable and would work with me on payments. I started working with them I believe in October of 2008 and by December 12th I was in court. I would have had this done allot sooner but I held us up. They worked fast and very precise with the work they did. After eight years of fighting with my ex-husband and getting no where with the court system on my own National Family Solutions got me custody back. My two children now live with me and I have permanent custody of them. All I can say is Thanks... I couldn't have done it without them!!!!
