nothing more than a puppy broker with a 400% mark up

Found basset puppy on there website for $1200. ask if i could visit breeder to see puppy and parents. I was told they do not allow onsite visits and sent pictures of a male and female basset that they say was the parents. found the breeder online puppy was $400, showed him a picture from purebreeders of the parents and he told me he has never seen those dogs and showed me the parents. stay away from this site.

Expensive rip-off

I just bought a very expensive puppy and thought I was asking all the right questions. I asked why the dog was so expensive. I was told the breeder was one of the best in the country and had to pay expensive stud fees. Will I get a full pedigree and registration? Definitely! was the answer. There was no AKC pedigree or registration but the bogus ACA registration for puppy mill & backyard breeders. There were no stud fees. This backyard breeder owned both the parent dogs. I thought I was getting a registered breed from a recognized breeder. Instead I paid a high price for a backyard bred puppy. My puppy is cute & healthy but this outfit is a scam. Find a local AKC breeder.

I bought a puppy paid big money to guarantee its health I was told puppy was in exelant health got her after a two week delay where they lied about the dog had not gottn to vet yet when I got the dog two days later it wouldn't eat wnt to vet and the dog was diagnosed with parvo ..... They gave the dog 50/50 chance.to.live I've spent more than 5,000 dollars to help her live pure bred said I sighned for the dog and I can't send it back ,then said if the dog dies we will have other options ,what kind of people are they you pick a puppy fall in love with it and they treat it like a pair of shoes ,I've decided to give the puppy every chance I can even if it means goin broke ,these people are heartless they don't care about u or the animals they sell ,don't deal with purebred breeders my dog had probably contracted parvo from filthy living conditions or a puppy mill and pure bred told me it was a private breeder that they dealt with for years and also they say they carefully screen all breeders they work with look at web site we have code that we addhear to carefully screening all breeders ....nice lie .....bottom line my dog is fighting for its life my daughter is heartbroken my other pets are at risk and im goin broke ..just because we wanted a puppy and were stupid enogh to trust purebred breeders .aka inhuman people who tell u anything to get your money in thir pocket .I'm retaining a lawyer for a suit against these evil people hopefully with more complaints we can put them out the business of harming animals and ruining pepoles lives

Do not buy from Purebred Breeders!!!

Our very expensive puppy came infested with fleas and worms along with an ear infection. It is very sad that this adorable pup was kept in such horrible living conditions. You have no idea what the breeders are all about and how they care for the puppy's. Purebred Breeders never even asked us if we have owned a dog before, if we have children etc... They want to close the deal on the phone as quickly as possible with no refunds etc.. We have been to the vet more in 2 weeks with our new puppy than we had in a lifetime with our other other dogs (not including physicals). We are very disappointed.

Don't Buy from Purebreed Breederrs

IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY PUREBREED BREEDERS LLC IN FLORIDA… YOU NEED TO READ THIS AND TAKE ACTION NOW! Purebred Breeders has been investigated by the United States Human Society and a lawsuit has been filed against them in November of 2011 for selling puppy mill dogs and deceptive marketing practices. To read the lawsuit… here is the Link: http://www.humanesociety.org/assets/pdfs/pets/puppy_mills/purebred_breeders_complaint.pdf If you want to join the lawsuit… file a complaint at this link and they will contact you. http://www.humanesociety.org/forms/puppy_buyer_complaint_form.html I purchased a Pomeranian puppy from Purbreed Breeders after reviewing the claims made on their website concerning the good health of the puppies they sell and the reputable, responsible nature of the breeders they associate with. Within a year of purchase the puppy was diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas, (bad knees) which will cost over $2,200 to correct surgically. This condition is common in dogs raised in puppy mills where little attention is paid to the passing on of genetic conditions, with the focus being only on producing more puppies to increase the bottom line. In my research I found this lawsuit, have joined and you can too… Take action now to stop the puppy mills!

PUREBREED SCAMMERS

More like mix breed. I bought a boxer and when i got to the airport it looked like a pitbull. I called purebreed breeders and they told me it was most certainly a boxer. i brought it to the veterinarian and he confirmed it was a mix. I was lied to and they told me if the dog is healthy then is was not their problem. On top of all that my dog was a boy and i got a girl. Stay far away from this ineptitude. My dog has grown to 125 pounds. Purebreed say that they r cannot guarantee the weight of a dog. A female boxer should be 55-60 pounds. Pitbull 22-78 pounds. What a scam ya know. I am out all this money. I love my dog but did not get what i paid for.

Purebred Breeders is Pure Evil!

I bought a 3 month old female Chihuahua from Purebred Breeders 2 1/2 years ago and she was very sick the day I got her. I was looking for a purebred Chihuahua puppy in PA so I found this website (which I later found was a network of websites that brings you to the same page). http://chihuahua.pennsylvaniapuppiesforsale.com/?awkw=PA%20chihuahua%20breeders&awca=PAB&gclid=CMak7Zml-awCFQjd4AodODANSw I fell in love with a black/tan Chi from Texas who was from champion bloodlines so I signed a "Lifetime Guarantee" and paid almost $2,000 for her. I never spoke to or emailed the breeder (red flag). My puppy flew Continental Airlines and she was coughing alot as soon as me and my husband picked her up from the airport which was on a Saturday. The next day she refused food and water, became very lethargic, and continued to cough. Monday I took her to the vet and they examined her and she had a fever, they took an x-ray which showed her lungs were filled with pneumonia, and they basically told me she would die. I called Purebred Breeders and they were rude and unprofessional about the whole thing. At first they told me my vet was lying and that my puppy just had a cold, so I got a second opinion and the 2nd vet said the same thing as the 1st one, so I emailed them a picture of her x-ray and both vet reports. Me and my husband had to give her food and water by syringe every 3 hours plus Pedialyte to keep her alive. She was also on an antibiotic and 2 other medications and went to the vet every 2-3 weeks for 4 months. They weren't willing to reimburse me, so after several phone calls and emails to Purebred Breeders I threatened them with a lawyer, so they gave me a measly $200. I spent at least $1,000 to treat her pneumonia, over a period of 4 months, not to mention I went through depression from dealing with a tiny, sick puppy and an uncompassionate company. It took them over a year to mail me her registration papers (after more phone calls and emails) but it turns out she really is from champion bloodlines. Thank God she fully recovered and is a happy, healthy spoiled, 7lb baby. I made a huge mistake ordering a puppy online! I'm glad that nightmare is over! Update: We finally received our check in the mail today for full reimbursement of our vet bills. We bought our Chihuahua 2 1/2 years ago but better late than never! Keryn Rod, the director of customer relations, and Jenna, the customer relations and breeder compliance supervisor, were very helpful. It took a month of emails and phone calls to them but we're happy this issue has finally been resolved. I hope PBB will make the health and welfare of their puppies their #1 priority.

Did not get a purebred dog

According to our dog trainer who has been training dogs for 30 years we did not get a purebred dog but a mix of something. We bought a Bichon Frise which is a small dog. Our male is 6 months old and weighs 17 lbs. also his fur is not typical Bichon. We love our dog however we didn't want to spend over $1400 for a mix breed and we also wanted a small dog. The dog has also had intestinal parasites ever since we got him.

Enjoyed others reviews, also made an "impulse purchase" after losing our dog of 13 years :( Never thought a puppy could fall in that category, for me anyway, but his picture was just so adorable.

My review - overall I had an OK experience. Not bad, not great.

The good:
PBB does a great job customer service wise, I give them 5 stars for that aspect of the business. They are efficient, courteous, and follow-up as promised. The convenience factor was certainly outstanding.

Not so good:
As a proud penny pincher, if someone had told me I was going to spend $3K (including all costs) to buy a puppy, and another $2k+ on Vet bills in the first month, I would have told them (fill in your favorite cliché here).
Thanks to my vet for encouraging me to buy Trupanion insurance, it saved the day minus the out of pocket and losing several days driving to Vets and specialists. I did get a token refund of $100 from PBB, and I appreciated that.

The Breeder: My pup had Giardia as well, which was a first for me after several dogs. Also, he had to have eye surgery immediately, which is not "uncommon", but was certainly not as promised as a dog with "super healthy bloodlines". My last pups had no such issues, so it led me to ask the question "what am I really getting?" ie Just because the site has "PUREBRED" in it's name, it's no guarantee of a level of health or quality. Also note, PBB doesn't have any consumer rating system for the Breeders - ie a star system so you can compare reviews and make a more informed decision (which is why I'm on this site in the first place so others can be aware). You are basically rolling the dice to an extent.

BOTTOM line: Go in with your eyes open, no guarantees on the puppy unless it dies, which let's be real, is not really any kind of guarantee. Look at the whole picture, it's a VERY expensive proposition when factoring time, flight costs, etc. Even more expensive if you have any issues, because lets face it, you don't have the option of putting a little puppy back on a plane home once you got her/him. In HINDSIGHT, I would have gone to a dog show or searched local Breeders to save time and $$$, and also to actually see the dog live vs. an internet photo.

I ordered a Fox Red Lab from PB and absolutely love him. Like everyone else, we were skeptical after making what we felt was an impulse purchase. When the puppy arrived at the airport, he was a little worn out. I took him to the vet immediately following his arrival and was told by my vet that he was in good shape. When his stool sample came back, my vet said he had Giardia. While Giardia sounds really bad, it's fairly common in dogs that love the water (water/stool parasite). This wasn't a problem...I simply gave his the $16.00 prescription provided by my vet and he's doing great...a true puppy!!! I did have a moment of concern when we found out he had Giardia, therefore, I did some homework (I'm an investigator) and discovered that the breeder PB uses was a legitimate breeder out of Minnesota and has a great reputation. My only regret was that I went through PB when I could have gone directly through a breeder and saved around $800. PB does offer a 10-year guarantee which is pretty much unheard of with the breeders I reviewed. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I sent a formal letter seeking reimbursement for the $16.00 and PB credited the amount onto my credit card with no questions asked. I highly recommend them no matter what you hear. Keep in mind that dogs are still animals and you're not likely to hear of the many many success stories...only the bad experiences. Contact me if you have questions and I'd be glad to answer them for you.

So I'd been researching breeders looking for my first puppy and I decided on a cavalier king charles spaniel. I wanted to get one that was as young as possible so that I could make sure the puppy was trained and socialized to my standards. I ran across Purebred Breeders and I was unaware they were nationwide until when calling about a puppy a guy with a southern accent came on the line, this worried me but I decided that I could deal with it. After we had purchased our puppy (about $1,800 total including the pup and airline ticket, carrier and tax ect.) I read all the terrible reviews and I was scared to death about getting a sick or dead puppy. Everything went smoothly leading up to the day we were going to pick up the puppy. We went to the airport (and managed to park as far away as possible) got to the american airlines window got the pup and he was ADORABLE. You could tell he was kind of traumatized from being on an airplane but he had floor and water and his carrier was clean (he also smelled like he recently had a bath). He cheered up right away and fell asleep in my arms on the way home. Yesterday he had his first vet visit and the vet said he was in perfect condition and 10 out of 10 on his breed standard. He’s a veryyyy good puppy and even tolerated booties and a sweater on his walk this morning. I’m very very pleased with my purchase but leading up to getting him the worrying and stress were awful so either don’t read the reviews (or don’t listen to them seeing as your already reading them) or don’t get a puppy from here. I can’t speak for everyone but I received a wonderful, healthy, happy, clean and pure bred puppy from purebred breeders.

I was so nervous after I had made the decision to purchase through this site. I had horrible visions of sick puppies, puppy mills, etc. I could not had been further from the truth. The people I dealt with were wonderful and professional. The entire process was handled flawlessly. My puppy arrived safely and on time. She is perfect in all ways...Healthy, happy, smart, loving, well adjusted. I could go on and on. My only complaint is that you can not speak directly to your breeder until after your puppy is home. The folks at purebred to all the go between. I probably would have slept better if I could have. I did get all my breeders info when my puppy arrived and have now spoken directly to her. I really couldn't be any happier.

Got a call from the company today after my initial review outlining the problem. The company seems to be under new management to address the problems in the past, and we are working through our issue with them.

Purebred Breeders was a great resource to find our English bulldog puppy. While deciding if I would use them I read many bad remarks online regarding the company. My husband and decided to go with the company after speaking with our representative several time and then talking with the breeder. We did not have anything go wrong throughout our process and everyone was very helpful and timely when I had questions. We have had our new puppy in the home for three days now. Our breeder socialized our puppy perfectly she is a delight and I could not be happier. Our puppy was flown to us from OK to FL and we had no issues. I would use Purebred Breeders again!

The one thing I can say after reading a lot of the other comments is I believe the issues came from bad breeders and not the company PureBred Beeders. There are many uncaring, money hungry breeders out there and sometimes you just get a puppy with issues. I wanted the opportunity to tell a happy ending story on the behalf of Purebred Breeders.

Thank you all that brought our puppy home safely to us!

This is a follow up response to a question I had posted regarding Purebred Breeders LLC. A man from Purebred breeders customer service department contacted my mother yesterday. He was very pleasant and agreed to come to a settlement regarding our issue. In the end they have agreed to provide my mother with a full refund. Thank you to the customer service department for their quick response and acceptable resolution to our situation.

In my experience with Pure bred Breeders is this. We had a Rotty for 14 yrs and had to put her down in April 2010. My boyfriend and I decided we wanted another. we purchased our little girl(Elektra) jan 11 2011 we had to put her down Feb 26th due to Dialated cardiomyiophy. an enlarged heart. this was very dramatic for us as we were so in love with her. Pure bred breeders are offering a "replacement " puppy for us.. I mean a replacement, how can we replace her? We decideded however that our home is very empty and are going to try it again. We are very leery about this, however it is a different breeder and all. I pray this time we will get a healthy baby.. We pick her up tomorrow. I will let you know...

They are very nice on the phone and Tekesha was very helpful as she got all my not very nice things to say about this. She went over and above helping me.. Nothing can bring our baby bacck or heal the hole left in our hearts..(as she was perfect) but I am optimistic Luna will be a wonderful addition to our family....

I just think to actually buy a 2000 dollar dog that it is best to meet the parents and visit the home...or see videos and pictures of them..
