Very Disappointed

I spoke to a representative who was very pleasant and explained to her that I would like to refinance under the HARP Program. She asked me a series of questions which I answered and said she said that it appeared I do qualify for a refinance. I then called my bank and was told I do not qualify for a refinance because my loan is not through Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae. I spent over an hour on the phone with this representative and I provided her with so much personal information for absolutely nothing. Springboard gained so much in the sense that they now have all this information on me that they will share with their affiliates. I however got nothing in return.

I would like to share my personal experience with this company, for people, who maybe considering enrolling in their program.Bait and switch (my payment went up almost $ 1000.00 ) from initial quote within 5 months.Company maybe sponsored by credit card companies.Make sure to ask what your payment is going to be during the during entire length of program. ( they are supposed to check your credit report and enlist all your unsecured debts listed in that report )Ask a lot of questions before enrolling.Being 'Non-Profit' does not always mean they volunteer for free or help you for paltry amounts.Make sure they send you monthly statements and also state in a timely manner which credit company/s have not accepted 'The proposal'.

I called Springboard as I was very stressed by debt collectors calling me and I thought I might lose my home. The counselor Marsha was SO nice and helpful and guided me through the steps I should consider and now I’ll be able to reduce my credit card debt on their repayment plan. They are a lifesaver.
