Very Pleased with Satmps.com

I recently signed up with stamps.com and I'm glad I did! I no longer have to ask someone to take a package to the post office to be mailed. I printed the offical postage "stamp" for my 3oz. pkg and sent it on its merry way. Today I received in the mail, a pkg from Stamps.com which included all different sized labels, including labels for regualr stamps. Since I am in a wheel chair, I do most of my shopping on line. I don't know why I didn't think of this b4.

Easy to Use, Affordable!

We use Stamps.com on a daily basis for all our USPS shipping. It is easy to use and inexpensive. Stamps.com saves us many steps and allows us to keep track of postage spent as well as packages sent. Getting a refund for mis-printed postage or filing a claim for a lost or damaged package is quick and easy. Installation of the program was easy and Stamps.com automatically calculates the proper postage based on current postal pricing. I like that Stamps.com gives you a variety of options for shipping. It allows us to quickly and easily determine the fastest and least expensive way for us to ship a package to our customer.

Makes mailing as easy as it can be

Fast signup and setup, nice introductory package, postage purchase is available immediately, and mailing packages - especially internationally - is not made easier anywhere else that I know of. I have not had to use their customer service yet, but I wish I could review it since it's pretty important. I don't have other professional services to compare, but have been shipping domestically and internationally for 10 years and Stamps.com is a valuable, and not overpriced, service.

Stamps.com is convienient

For a person on the road 365 days a year in a motorhome stamps.com is a God sent tool. To be able to print postage and labels without having to look for a post office in a 38 foot vehicle is an immense relief. Almost every RV park has a mail drop box.

Excellent. Quick and easy to download. Very easy instructions and friendly help on land line if needed. I recommend this item for anyone who doesn't have time or cannot always get to a post office or purchase stamps or mail packages.

Great product website

We did the test for a month and after a lengthy review we decided to go with Stamps.com. What they offer is freedom from a machine other than my computer. No updates to take care of anymore. Stamps.com has made a great impression and the customer service has been wonderful. Well worth using the special offer to find out what it can do for you.

On Sep 27, I created a profile on stamps.com and gave them my credit card info thinking I would then pay for some stamps. It turned out I didn't have the paper yet to print the stamps, so I didn't buy anything. I received my welcome packet a few days later in the mail, as well as a few emails about the services. Nothing in the emails or the physical letter said anything about having signed up for a monthly plan. When I went to the website on Oct 3, to see how I could get the free scale the email said I could have, I saw that I had accidentally signed up for a $15/month plan! I couldn't find anywhere on the website to cancel the plan. I could only change to a more expensive plan. I called customer service on Oct 3 to cancel the plan. I waited several minutes for a representative to pick up. I told her I had accidentally signed up for a monthly plan and wanted to cancel it. She took my account information and then gave me a long pitch about how great the service is, and said that she thought I should stick with the plan through the trial period. She ended this pitch as though she assumed I would stick with the plan. I said no thanks, please cancel it today. Then she offered to extend my free trial period for another month. I said no, please cancel it. She canceled our plan, and I got a confirmation email that we wouldn't be charged anything, but I hung up feeling very suspicious. She really pushed the product on me, and if I hadn't been so resolved or assertive, I might have given in or just been confused and agreed to pay for something I didn't need. I feel like the company deliberately tricked me into signing up for a plan and then tried to trick me into keeping it when I didn't want it.

PROS: Stamps.com has a superb advertising campaign, hence, a solid marketing team Software is easy to install, as is USB-linked postage scale Decent variety of labels provided in start-up kit *****You actually can speak to a live customer service rep, who speaks perfect English! A big plus, in my opinion but maybe it's factored into the pricing below... CONS: Re-ordering labels from them is extremely costly on shipping, unless you order hundreds/thousands of labels at a time Software has limitations to printing multi-denominations, so you have to send the label thru printer many times. [don't think that is good for the cheaper home-based office printers] FREE postage is misleading, as you have to spend $15.99 per month to get $10.00 of "FREE" postage, AND you need to use their label stamp to submit the rebate offer. It also takes a long time to be credited on free postage Overall, the system is handy if you have a fairly high volume of mailing. I will be looking into the USPS system to see if their services can offer the same ease. Judging from the negative reviews I read, the cancellation may be their worst service! Hope not...

As a one-man band (exec) of a military association time is of the essence. I live about 10 miles from the nearest post office and, using Stamps.com saves me gas and having to wait in line for two or three over-worked postal clerks. Also, using the digital scale that comes with the service I can print postage to the exact amount needed, whether it be for first class, priority or even post card mailings. I have used the service for the past three or so years and I wouldn't be without it! Also, the very few times I have had to use customer or tech support I get right through and always can talk to someone I can understand - rare in this out-sourced age we operate in.

Signed up for service to print a shipping label. I did not print end up printing any, and 4 weeks later I was charged $15.99 on my credit card for a subscription. Nowhere did I see anything asking me to authorize any charges to my card for any subscription. They have charged me since Nov 2010 and I did not notice until now.

I tried to cancel using their web site where they have a category for cancel, but they do not cancel, they ask you to call them instead during limited hours and put you on hold for long periods of time.

I have no receipt for any subscription or any other agreement, their site indicates that no charges will be made to your credit card and it is risk-free. After researching this there are many complaints from individuals who were duped by them, some were charged in the hundreds and have gotten no use out of the service at all. None of their correspondence says anything about signing up for a monthly subscription. Their response said there was a link to a web page that mentioned somewhere on it about the charges. They have an illegitimate practice of trapping people by not being forthright with what they intend to charge on your credit card.

They finally cancelled my "membership" but only after 3 calls and an argument.

As a small business operator the service [and specials] at Stamps.com put me in a much better position to reach to and stay in touch with our business prospects. When we had questions about different aspects of their service and software, their representatives were a class act.

I love using Stamps.com for our mailing purposes. It is easy to use. When I messed up with printing one of my labels the system allowed me to request a refund, which was refunded in the stated time frame. I have a little trouble figuring out how to use one of the labels, but the others move to the next stamp location automatically and print wonderfully. When I called for customer service I received fantastic help. Although I live in a small town and must pick up my mail from the Post Office, I find that I want to prepare a package to mail at the most inconvenient times (weekends or late at night). I can use Stamps.com and drop of the package, without standing in line, when I pick up my mail (usually after the PO is closed). I don't mind the monthly fee as I have had special offers that cut the price occasionally. I love being able to print the postage I want when I want it.

They make it impossible to cancel your account! I have canceled 4 times now over the last year and they are still charging me the monthly fee. Last time I called the lady even said she seen where I called to cancel but admitted they never canceled the account. So she said she canceled it and waived all the fees. But...they are STILL trying to charge me to this day. DO NOT SIGN UP!! Do an internet search and you will find 100's of the exact same complaints. And it actually costs you WAY MORE to mail a package using this service. They charge you a monthly service fee,you have to pay for postage, buy your own labels, use your own printer ink, and then you still have to go to the post office anyway. If you don't use Stamps.com and just go to the post office, all the supplies are FREE and you only pay postage.

I've known about Stamps.com for some time, but was wary about using it. Now that I have, I am glad I did. It is saving me time running and looking for places to buy stamps. I just have to load an envelope or stamp page or label list. I am also happy with the technical/customer service. I have only had one problem, but it was handled so well and so quickly I was happy with everything. Now, I'm spoiled and I don't think I'll go back to just buying stamps anywhere. Stamps.com is now my new best friend for mailing.

The service was good, easy to use and very convenient, but when no longer needed impossible to cancel. I am hearing impaired and don't use a phone. This company will accept online orders, does all online business, BUT when you want to cancel you have to call? Not everybody online can use a phone, If you accept online, you should cancel online. I DO NOT THINK THIS IS ADA COMPLIANT. Do I need to file a complaint with them too? You would also think 6 months of charge back fees would give them a clue? I guess not.

Though I read through the reviews, and such on here, unless you are a newbie to PC's and a newbie to all the online abilities. And A newbie to reading stuff or to lazy maybe to read.
In big Bold letters it says you will be charged... so no excuse in saying "small fine print". I know iam gonna be charged, but you know what 30-60$ to fill up my tank for gas running around getting packing supplies, and such then going to the PO, waiting in LINE, for 10-45-1hour before you can get to the front of the line. Stress driving around? Umm... well worth the 15 bucks. And Free PICK UP. Or If iam on my way home or out, late or early ALL PO's are open really early and late some 24hours. And you can drop it off anytime you want on the given 'mail date' WHICH YOU SPECIFY! Again no excuses.

As for Billing, They Stopped the ability to add funds till things cleared... well they forgot, an email to them, and withing 20min(though they say 24hours or next day) they replied back, and unfroze it... So, again I dont see a problem.
I plan on paying for it when I get out of the 4week trial, and 15$ is well worth the ammount totally.
Package Lables/Postage can be printed off of Regular apaper? I mean come on, that in itself for myself is better than anything I have seen.

All in all...
Quick and easy to setup and use. Especially with the online abilities that i can print out as soon as I get the account set up. I can print immediately. Awesome job with that, I can do stuff without installing the software. Though the Software has more stuff to do and is quicker when I dont have an internet connection, iam away from home I can log in here use my account, and print from anywhere. Awesome Job!

SInce everything was immediate and quick, i got my stuff in 3 days, and I wish I had this earlier, going and getting stamps from anywhere, is a Pain now adays, and usually you are over paying or over stamping something that needs only 98c to ship yet you are throwing 1.20 into it! you are wasting over 30c! Over time this adds up to a bundle in savings.

Now that I have things to ship from selling things online, this makes it a grip load eaiser, and free pick up, or if Iam out anyways, i dont need to stand in line all I need to do is drop it in the big box slot and be off no standing in line! I love it! In and out, at MY convenience! NOT THE POST OFFICE!

I have subscribed to Stamps.com for many years, and it is a terrific service. I belong to a book swap web site where books don't cost anything, but when I send a book to someone, I pay postage (and when I receive a book from someone, they pay the postage). It's a very active paperbookswap.com web site, and using Stamps.com for that alone would be worth the monthly subscription to Stamps. com. But, I also use the service for every one of my mailings, even though I do a lot of online bill paying. The convenience outweighs the monthly Stamps.com subscription fee. Such a timesaver, and at age 53, time saved is like money in the bank to me!!
