I am very happy that we were able to have such a positive and loving experience with such an amazing group of people. Taxes scare the living daylights out of me, and my wife and I made a mistake about 4 years ago when we filed and we got a bill for over $40,000 last march. We freaked out! My wife had lost her job, and my company was barely hanging on, so we didn't pay the IRS anything and they started sending more notices until they finally levied my account and took over 4k (rent money!). We saw the ad for stopirsdebt.com and called them - actually we called a few places, including tax masters, but the person I spoke to there had a very basic understanding of taxation, you could tell he was just a salesguy - but stopirsdebt KNEW what they were talking about. We discussed our case at length before hiring them for about 2 hours, and I just knew they were the real deal. For us, we had a big mess they had to undo - they had to redo our previous three tax returns, stop the IRS from taking anything else, and then try and set something up for the balance. Once the returns were filed, I was shocked. They nailed them! It reduced the balance to about 12k, and then from there we were put on a payment plan for the balance which will expire before we have to pay everything in full. All told, we will have paid about 7-8k on the bill. Rock and roll! Anne Chen is amazing, Nicole Pokusay is incredible, and Brian H (don't know how to spell is last name lol) is unreal. Did everything they said they would do and more!
Who isn't skeptical these days when hiring someone? We had a plumber come to our house last week and my wife grilled the poor guy for literally 20 minutes before letting him fix a sanitation line, so obviously hiring stopirsdebt.com over the phone required quite the convo to get everyone on board. What do you say about a company that does everything it said it would, and more? How can you rate something that is perfect? These are my thoughts tonight as I write this review, I am honestly just so grateful I cannot explain. Well, I'll try my best. For over 3 years I've been stressed out everytime I open the mail. That damn little IRS envelope made my heart tickle with anxiety, because I knew nothing but bad news was inside. One year I owed twenty thousand, the other three thousand, another forty thousand, I literally had to stop counting it was a disaster. My accountant retired and I never hired anyone else to do my returns, which was a big part of the problem, but the main part of the problem was ME. I totally procrastinated, I take full responsibility for being inept at this stuff. Ok, I'm going on way too long. So I hired stopirsdebt.com and it's been a miracle. No more terrifying letters, no more wage garnishments (I had four of them!), and no more tax debt. I'm paying off the balance on a payment plan, everything is in order, and I will try my best to never let this happen to me again. If you're even considering hiring a company, don't think anymore. I had a very complicated issue, it involved several unreported foreign bank accounts and as many of you may know, the IRS has been very demanding for these account holders to come forward under both civil and criminal penalty. I had been looking and asking for a seasoned attorney and firm to be able to hire for a while to handle this, and finally settled on this firm. Let me tell you, if you have an overseas issue, this is hands down the most professional, incredible firm I have ever done business with. Yes, my husband and I owed the IRS a lot of money, we really don't do our tax returns very well I guess and my sister was doing our books and the amount just kept getting larger each year we didn't pay. The debt started out around $20,000, but when we were levied we owed almost $50,000. It was from about 4 years of awful tax return preparation, and the rest from penalties and interest. There was also some that was owed to the state of washington, around $10,000. There were many ads for different companies, but for some reason their ad with the silly stop sign caught our attention and we felt that the client examples were real (how else could they put them on tv, I think that's the law). So we called stopirsdebt and spoke with a very nice gentleman named vincent. He is wicked smart, very knowledgeable, and we decided to hire them to handle the IRS, the state and to file all of our past tax returns (rather, amend them, not file - I learned this term recently). We hired them in July 2011, and our case has finally been closed. The one commonality I see on this forum is that they are very good at returning calls and emails, and this is accurate. At least once a week our case manager brian would call us with an update, or just to check in, even if nothing was happening. I never felt rushed, never felt like a number, and felt like I had hired a small company around the block from us to take care of this. Here's what happened: we now owe $18,000 to the IRS and about $2,000 to the state of washington. So they saved us about $40,000. Hi, if you are looking to hire stopirsdebt.com (I think this is the full company name), then I would like to tell you my experience with them has been very pleasant and professional. Very apt at all correspondence, emails, phone calls all returned quickly, staff always very courteous and knowledgeable, and very skilled at negotiation. Like everyone else on this page I owed back taxes, honestly I was never super worried about it I thought my payment plan with the IRS was fine until they revoked it and demanded the full amount. I didn't know they could do this, but the company worked to get everything in order and I now have a new payment plan and can afford it much easier. I didn't save a million dollars like some of the people on their site did, but I saved enough for me and more importantly have this behind me. Good people they seem to care if that matters to anyone else in this position. It cost me $3200, which I paid upfront, and I heard terrible stories about not paying in advance, but come on. I've had to pay for many things up front, and I think their clientele are high credit risks so I get it. All in all, well worth the money. I found another company when I was looking around to do it cheaper, but with this type of thing I think you get what you pay for. So I am recommending them, hope I don't need them again for this, but I know they do return prep and will call them about taking care of that for me :)

Helped me and my husband recover
We hired them about eight months ago and I will say that we are very happy with what they did to represent us. We got into trouble with the irs because my husband and I never filed our tax returns because we thought we weren't making enough. We didn't know it was illegal not to file, and that the irs files for you even if you don't. So we owed more than twenty thousand dollars, and for us this was too much money for us to be able to pay back. We were getting a lot of notices in the mail every week, and finally the irs ended up taking money from our bank account and our wages. Stop IRS Debt called them and had them stop taking money out of our accounts and paychecks, and then filed all our returns. This was very successful, since it ended up reducing what we owed to less than five thousand. We are now making small payments to the irs and things have straightened out. we worked with anne, brian, and hilda. I don't know if they do bookeeping, I will ask them because we need someone for our business since our guy retired.

I am a retired long-haul driver, was working for over 50 years and the one thing that always was a thorn in my side was the IRS. Any ex-truckers out there? As I was always driving, organizing my mail and my finances has always been something of a headache, which my wife was very good at handling but at some point the scales tipped and we were flipped with the IRS. Maybe eighty thousand we owed at the largest point, before we started making payments. We agreed to pay 1700/month, but the problem was that when I retired the payment ate away too much of my fixed income and it was harder and harder to make ends meet. Audit re-examination successful
Did an amazing job for me and my family, my father owns a small restaurant and I was doing the payroll and made some errors that eventually caused an audit. Wasn't that big of a deal in the beginning, I thought we would be able to back up our expenses, but the auditor didn't agree and we were hit with a sizeable tax debt that was unmanageable for us at the time. It was almost forty thousand, which for us is very large. We had our accountant try and work with the officer and re-open the audit, but he wasn't very skilled at it and so we began looking around for a firm to hire. just stopping in to drop a quick note about my overall experience with stopIRSdebt.com. nice group of people, I usually do my tax returns and messed up a couple years in a row, hence the tax debt. called them, easy process to get started, whole thing took about 3 months, had to send them some paperwork but they covered everything else. only quip is that my case manager terry who I loved was replaced mid-way through the process, she went to a different department apparently, and she was so cool, but regardless they did a very satisfactory job with my account. will more than likely hand over the reins to them in the future and let them take care of my tax returns since I'm clearly incompetent at doing them.

I'm a realtor and work in asheville north carolina, and when the recession hit my company pretty much evaporated into nothing. There was no business coming in, everyone was panicking and living off their savings, typical doomsday scenario we've all seen. So I'm a contracted worker, so I need to pay the IRS quarteryly, or yearly, which is what I've always done. No money, no taxes was how it went. So instead of sending in the 28,000 that I owed, I held onto the money because we needed it for rent and to pay our bills until business picked up. That 28k in '09 turned into 40,000+. At first the letters came, and then the IRS hit my bank account and snagged about five grand. It was a disaster, I needed to take care of it but kept puting it off. DO NOT PUT OFF PAYING YOUR TAX DEBT! Trust me, it will come back to bite you unless you are smart and call a company like STOPIRSDEBT.com! I honestly never knew that companies like this existed, that only handle tax debt issues, but this was a very well run company and my experience was very favorable. They lifted the bank levy, got the money reverted back into my account, and negotiated my debt down to about 28% of what I owed. Solid job filing my tax returns and negotiating my tax debt
Read this review if it helps, just my opinion, but I am in good shape because of the efforts of stopirsdebt.com, inc and the people who work there. They asked me to share my experience on this page at the end of their customer satisfaction survey, so here I am. I made a couple bad investments over the years, had a couple lousy accountants, and it ended up costing me over 700k in tax debt. I know, this is a massive amount to owe, but I was making good money at the time so it somehow got this big. Every year it kept getting bigger and bigger, every year I tried to make payments on it but couldn't keep up. Bank levies happened all the time, they even contacted my employer - I do play by play for a local TV station - and garnished my wages. So humiliating. This is a different type of tax relief firm I think, judging from what I've seen. More like a boutique law/tax firm, but they really sit with you and get to know you well before even suggesting a strategy to help you. Vincent was my main guy, he's a guys guy, so cool, and for almost a year he handled my case and their team knocked my debt down to about 200k and got all my returns filed. We're now waiting on news about releasing all the penalties on the case which could save me even more money, but these guys really are on the ball and I'd recommend them whole-heartedly.

I owed over 95k in payroll taxes - we own a small restaurant - and were never really able to catch our breath! The IRS was always calling, always demanding money from us, and it got so overwhelming we didn't know what to do. We had our bank accounts levied, they sent notices to all the companies that owed us money, and it was the biggest point of stress in my life for over four years. Saw these guys on TV, liked the way they were straightforward with no weird gimmicks (um, a red beard? sorry tax masters) and like everyone else on this page I had a big tax issue that I was being dumb about and letting it sit around and grow year after year. They laid out a plan, and have been 'tackling my tax debt' ever since. It's been 4 months, my case isn't 100% done, but I've already hired them to prepare my 2011 tax return. Very professional, very smart people. Call them and you will see, don't take my word for it, but it looks like word's spreading about how good and reliable they are. I agree with the earlier person who said an online area for clients would be cool, but I'm not so sure how that would work so I guess I can't really comment. Plus your information would be online for hackers so maybe it's smart that they don't have a login!? 5 stars. If it dips below that I will update this review.

My name is Janis, I have never posted a review like this, but I am very impressed with this company because they helped my family so much it is without words. For years we have never understood taxes, they are a different language to me, and I have never done what I needed to do to make sure everything was taken care of. One year I would have my friend do it, another I would have H & R do them, but I always felt completely out of touch with what was going on with my taxes. So after about ten years of this, I guess it finally caught up and we were audited. We lost most of the audit, and the result was a tax debt of more than $75000. Obviously we couldn't pay, but the auditor didn't seem to care and made us agree to a payment plan of $1500/month. This was crazy, we couldn't pay our mortgage, we couldn't afford our kids education, and we ended up not paying the payments. Not a good idea, but we had no choice, we asked for the plan to be altered but he said we could afford to pay it and wouldn't. So because we didn't make payments they levied our bank and took most of what we had out. This is the IRS btw, thought that was obvious. So there went ten more thousand, which was everything to us. We didn't know what to do, and all of a sudden we were 'those people' who owed the government. Out of a whim I saw the spinning stop sign on tv for stopirsdebt.com and called them with my husband, we spoke to anne for over an hour the first time, more the second time, and agreed to hire them. Honestly, we were hoping to just get something fair with the IRS and the agent, but I'm telling you, they must have magic sauce over there because what happened was amazing. First, the asked for an 'audit reconsideration' - never heard of this, no one has lol - and the audit was reopened for examination. They went back and forth with my tax returns and the new auditor, and the craziest thing happened. The audit was wrong!!! Can you believe it, the IRS made a mistake, go figure. But it was the smallest mistake and because of it it invalidated the entire audit, and stopirsdebt.com found this one small mistake. The debt didn't go away completely, we still owed about 20k, but they got us on a small payment plan of $175/mo for the balance, which will end before we pay it in full. All told, we went from having nothing - oh, they even got the ten thousand from our bank account back! forgot to mention that! - and owing 75k to only owing about 12k after everything will be said and done. The results were amazing, but the service was so professional, they are so on top of it, they called me and calmed me, I never had to ask them for anything, they are so organized and care so much, all I can say is that if you have a problem like this you owe it to yourself to call this company. Impressive knowledge of tax law
