The owner contacted me immediately after I submitted an inquiry on the company website. He clearly answered all of my questions and was flexible with my requests.
The installation team was on time, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and were very patient in teaching me how to use the new system. I highly recommend The Alarm Company!

I called The Alarm Company to takeover and upgrade our existing (inactive) ADT system. They were super responsive and arrived at our house in less than an hour (our house had been robbed the day before so they treated us as an "emergency" case which my husband and I greatly appreciated). The workmen were very knowledgeable and professional. They did a thorough assessment of our old system and showed us where there was room for improvement. They even noted that we didn't have enough smoke detectors and were able to install one on the spot. They discussed various security options and explained the pros/cons of each one so we could make an informed decision regarding the system that best fit our needs. Once we chose the features we wanted, they quickly installed the new system and had it up and running in no time. Before signing any of the paperwork, they carefully went over it with us to make sure we understood what we were signing and why. Lastly, they clearly and patiently explained how the new system worked and answered all of our questions. My husband and I couldn't be happier or feel more secure. We highly recommend The Alarm Company.

We called for an estimate of the cost to install a new residential alarm system. We asked that parts from a previous system be used if possible. Their response was very prompt, and it was obvious from the first phone call that this was a first rate company. Their estimate was extremely reasonable, in part because they were able to use some parts from the existing system, and so we signed up immediately. They were able to carry out the installation within a day or two. They did an extremely professional job, were very courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and explained the system and its operation in detail. They even asked my permission each time they were about to install something that would be visible! I could not recommend this company more highly.

Recently we had to replace an old alarm system that we had disconnected because it was giving a false alarms. In searching for an company to replace my alarm I found The Alarm Company, on the TrustLink web site. I read the reviews and decided to call them. I talked to Larry and told him about my old alarm system which was about 20 years old. When I told him the company name he immediately asked is it the DSS-50 or DSS-51 model. He obviously had a very good knowledge about alarm systems. His installer came out to give us an estimate. He was very thorough and told us the different options that were available to us. Larry sent an estimate the next day. I had three other companies come out to give estimates and there was no comparison between Larry and his staff and these other companies. I knew after talking to Larry and his installer that they would do the job right. There were a couple of minor issues during the install the were solved
completely to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend The Alarm Company to anyone who needs an alarm system.

Everything you want in an alarm service, and nothing you don't want.
The Alarm Company has provided security service for me for over a decade. Over those years, I never heard from them unless there was a real need - repairs, upgrades, etc. were always next-day or when I needed it. No hassles and no issues. When I had the need to install a new system in a new building, Larry and his crew were there the next day to do the design and quote, the system was installed the next day, and the work was spotless. They did what I wanted when I needed it.
What I did NOT get: multiple phone calls trying to sell a system, service, or upgrade, or any runaround scheduling or "a week from Tuesday" appointments, which is what I got from the other "security" companies.
The Alarm Company provides great Service, which is exactly what I want in a security function.

Recently I had an alarm system upgraded by The Alarm Company. I wanted the BBB folks and consumers to know about this company because I was so happy with the service and professionalism of the people who came to my house. My previous alarm company had gone out of business with no notice, and I quickly needed to reactivate my system to ensure protection. I was able to reach The Alarm Company by email, and set up an appointment for the next day. I was so happy with the prompt service, and with the fact that I could use my existing infrastructure. The Alarm Company checked all my entry and exit points, made sure the alarm contacts were in working order, and even found one window which wasn't even alarmed that was supposed to be. They showed me what to do in case of emergency, and installed a "police" button which can be used in case of emergency or panic. The staff was very professional and efficient. I highly recommend The Alarm Company to anyone looking to install a security system for home of office.

1) CUSTOMER SERVICE - extremely high level of customer orientation. Immediate response to phone calls. Worked closely with us to design an alarm system that met our needs, as well as our budget
2) PROFESSIONAL STAFF THROUGHOUT - The installation team was courteous and careful in our home. The front office staff is pleasant and knowledgeable Larry, the owner, is a class act and is always very responsive.
3) CARING COMMUNITY MEMBER - They are very supportive of our schools and our community. They even help out YSI and when YSI had a recent break-in, their team was there all day to help not only with the alarm issues/burglary, but also to help find the animals that had escaped.
We used to be with another alarm company and have been so pleased with The Alarm Company!

I have worked with hundreds of vendors in my years of leading and managing nonprofit organizations. Only a handful come close to the level of consistent professionalism and excellent customer service provided by Larry Walker and the entire team at the Alarm Company.
In response to an attempted break-in, we knew it was time for an alarm system. The Alarm Company came highly recommended to us. Larry assessed our needs, provided exactly what we needed quickly and effectively and the entire service has been trouble-free at every level. Everything he has ever said or committed to has been carried out 100% as stated.
Whenever we have a question or need, the response is lightening-fast. The Alarm Company protects six buildings for us on four campuses, and I cannot recommend Larry and the company highly enough. I have been a customer of The Alarm Company for more then 22 years. Larry Walker installed my alarm system in my very first home and has installed the alarms in my last two homes as well. His service and knowledge is the best in the business. I would not trust anyone other then the Alarm Company to install and monitor my homes.
In fact, someone tried to break into my house six weeks ago, but thanks to my Alarm Company, the perpatrators left without ever entering my residence. The police came quickly after being notified by The Alarm Company and just missed catching the people who kicked my front door in. If it wasn't for the Alarm system and having it monitored, I would have lost a lot of my belonginigs. You can't put a price on your safety.
I highly recommned using The Alarm Company and it pays to have your alarm system monitored.

The Alarm Company installed a new alarm in our house during our recent house remodel. The installation went well. They were very flexible with the schedule which was necessary because of our contractor. The work was done well and completed on time. The staff was very courteous and willing to explain the how to operate the alarm. The Alarm Company came recommended to me because of their committment to a high service level and theydid not disappoint. Overall, we had (and continue to have) a very good experience with the Alarm Company.

I have delt with the Alarm Company over the last 10 years.
Their monitoring service has been very responsive and reliable but what is outstanding, is their installation services. Their installation crew has been out to 2 of my locations and have been professional, efficient and reliable each time. In one particular case, I believe they accomplished the "impossible" in routing some cables that needed to be routed.
I would highly recommend them to anyone whom is looking for these kind of services!

We recently had The Alarm Company replace our alarms at all of our facilities. We were previously using a large national company for our alarm service. Larry and his staff have made our alarm systems something I no longer have to worry about. The rates are excellent as is the personalized customer service.

When we completed our home remodel Larry helped us every step of the way to make sure the installation was smooth and clean, and gave us great insights into how our DSL was installed with Verizon and our home entertainment system to make sure that everything worked well. There was none of the usual, "that's not my problem, you need to talk to the phone company or contractor about that issue, etc..". He took ownership and assisted because he knows how to run a company with long term partnership and integrity in mind. His rates are competitive, he is responsive and helps educate you on how to avoid false alarms due to frequent mistakes by non technical home owners. We recently started renting our home while living abroad. Larry set things up so we have 2 separate alarms wired for our renters and our secured attics. It went without a hitch with no imposition to our current renters and we are able to receive remote notification if any issues arise.
I have know him for over 15 years now and he is respected throughout the community for all his charitable support and good will with local organizations and schools. Integrity is his middle name and we could all use more dependable small business owners like Larry Walker.

All I know is Larry is an approved Honeywell contractor.
I wasn't a customer of his, yet when I got his number from the Honeywell distributor, he returned the call very quickly and was able to talk me through at no cost to resolve the issue I was having with my home security system.
As I was not his customer, I don't think he was obligated or contracted to help me at NO cost, but he did.
Larry was incredibly helpful and when I am in need for another system, I can say with conviction, Larry Walker and the Alarm Company will be the choice I make.
