I am a really picky person and I like perfection. I dont like being left in the dark by companies or scammed. When I learned about Transfer America I made sure I did my research and i was 100% sure this company would work. Now I am timeshare free. So if you want to succeed in life always do your research and double check everything.

Nightmare on the Transfer Ameica "Street"
We have started this ordeal by meeting more then 12 months ago with Transfer America representatives and signing agreement where is clearly stated that after we pay this certain amount Transfer America will transfer our time share out of our name in a period of 90 to 120 days, and will be responsible for all fees, maintenance and others without exception, occur during the period of transfer.
It had been over 12 months now and time share still is not transferred.
More so, just yesterday I got call from Transfer America, saying that they are ready to transfer our time share, but want us to pay maintenance fee for this year. After I indicated that their our contract with them and rules on their web. site state that they are responsible for those fees, I was told that I am right but they are not going to pay and will put it on hold if I do not pay.
This is absolutely outrages, when company like Transfer America can take the hard earned money from old retired people, not to stand to their written agreement/contract and continue to stay in business.

It's a long long road to timeshare freedom
We started the process by attending a presentation in May 2011, and paid $7k+ right then to offload 2 timeshares. We are still waiting for the process to be completed. Responses to our requests for updates have been received from the transfer companies who are dealing with the resorts, saying that the paperwork was submitted to the resorts, and it takes several weeks to get that done. However, the 2 resorts are now sending us dunning letters & phone calls for 2012 maintenance fees. We really did not expect that 10 months later we would still be waiting for a resolution, and it is beginning to test our patience. We don't think that it is necessarily the fault of Transfer America, but the transfer process itself. We would have appreciated some response from TA to our inquiries, but so far that is not forthcoming. Hopefully we will be updating this post with a "Halleluja, we are free" edition very soon.

It worked! Transfer America got rid of our timeshare.
Pros:
- It worked!
- They thoroughly explained the process at the presentation and why it costs what it does.
Cons:
- It's expensive (multiply your maintenance/tax fee by about 5 or 6 for an approximate cost).
- It took about 4 - 5 months to get the official paperwork proving that we no longer owned it.
It to have to pay money to get rid of something you paid a lot of money for in the first place, but trust me, the freedom is worth it! This is the first year we didn't get our dreaded tax & maintenance fee bill. We got scammed twice before by companies that were supposedly going to sell it for us, so we were really nervous going into it, but we are officially timeshare free.

I've gotten into some arguments with this company but overall they have helped me out of my timeshare. They told me that they would get me out of my timeshare and so far they have done everything they said they would do.

Problems
I had a problem with this company before but once I gave them a second chance they improved a lot. The only thing I complained about was their communication and after that they started calling me regularly. Then before I knew it I was timeshare free!

transfer america
Transfer America helped me and my husband out of our two timeshare contracts. We havent been able to use them like we use to so my husband thought we should just try and get rid of it. Our friend recommended Transfer America and after signing up with them, we are now free. thanks again.

Need to get rid of this timeshare
My father recently passed away and gave me his timeshare. I do not know why he would even give a recently graduated college student a timeshare. I dont even have a stable job yet. My mother helped me find this company and we signed up with them several months ago. I just got the called a week ago that they officially transferred the timeshare out of my name. Boy am I glad that I dont have to deal with this

Thanks Transfer America
My grandmother had passed away about a year ago and she left her timeshare to me. After reading about timeshares and what it takes to maintain it I was shocked. Why would my grandmother leave a poor college student a timeshare!? I cant even afford the maintenance fees. Anyways, with the help of my parents we hired Transfer America to get me out of the timeshare and boy am I glad they did.

I had signed up for the company a couple of months ago. So far I have no received any phone calls from them. My friends had used this company to get out of their timeshare so I know that they are not a scam. I hope to hear from them soon.

Right now I am so happy I could kiss someone. After being scammed twice by resale companies I finally found Transfer America. Though it cost a bit to get me out, I can now say that I am Timeshare Free! How many people can say that?

Transfer America has helped me out a lot these past few months. At first I signed up with them to see how they worked and as soon as they were able to get me out of my timeshare I decided to use them to get rid of the rest of my timeshares. I was the owner of three timeshares. Now I am the owner of none. It is such a relief that I dont have to worry about selling or renting my timeshares.
