Bruce, I agree with Bill, because that is exactly what has happened to me. Gave money to Care One for 15 months and they paid off 1 credit card, I now have 3 lawsuits pending, so I am in the process of filing bankruptcy. I should have started with Credit Card Counseling better known as CCC which is free.

Bruce,

ECI doesn't have any complaints with the Florida BBB, but if you hire a debt negotiation company, be prepared for a myriad of problems. You'll be told to stop making your monthly payments to credit card companies. Guess what creditors do when they stop receiving payments? They turn the accounts over to collection, they file suit and do whatever else it takes to get their money.

The BBB experience with debt negotiators has been horrible. Most people wind up in far worse shape than when they entered the programs and many are forced to file bankruptcy to stop the lawsuits.
