Review 4/8/2010
I have had long hair since I have been a small child. I have naturally blond thick hair down to my lower back. I found out *I had stage two breast cancer and was very angry and irrational. I actually considered not going through chemo because I didn't want to loose my hair. My husband was told by a nurse at Hoag hospital in Newport Beach, that she had seen some beautiful wigs that no one could tell that they were wigs. They were from Wiggin Out Salon wig shop in Newport Beach and they may be expensive but the hairline and the hair that was used was just incredible. My husband called and made an appointment. Constance did my consultation and I will admit I was bitter and angry and rude. She just kept it cool an explained that she herself had shaved off her hair for 6 months so she could experience the hair loss emotions and also create a more useful wig design based on her active lifestyle and experience having no hair. Then she took her wig off and I just flipped! I had no idea she was wearing one! Her hair was pulled back and I had absolutely no idea. She took about 3hrs with me and walked me through the process and the prices. Yes it was going to be expensive. Constance had two of her clients come in with wigs made from their own hair to meet with me so I could ask them questions. I could not believe that they actually came in for me. I noticed that its kind of like a family there but very professional. We then scheduled to have my hair cut off. It was a very long process and I was amazed that they took the time. Even though I must admit I was highly negative and fearful they continued to be polite to me. I am surprised they didn't have me removed. I guess having Cancer brings out the worst in people, sorry Wiggin Out for taking it out on all of you. For two months I was frantically calling yelling at everyone when the wig was going to be ready. Again, even though I was being mean and rude they still were polite. Okay. the wig came in......It was slightly shorter but.....I never thought in a million years it would look as beautiful as it did!!! It took a little while long than I hoped for was worth the wait. I felt so bad for putting everyone at Wiggin Out through my screaming and nervousness. They understood that I was going through alot but I cant believe that they still worked with me. I feel very sorry for my behavior. Cancer does not give me the right to treat others that way. So it has been 4 months and no one knows I am wearing a wig. My nurse wondered why I hadn't lost my hair! I told her...I am going to probably get a second one. I don't know if they will work with me again, but I figured after the flowers and the 100 apologies for my behavior they again have invited in to design another wig for evening and special occasions. I have recommended Wiggin Out Wig shop to everyone. If for some reason you do not get along with any members of this salon you probably need to look at your own attitude. I am living proof of a bad attitude and they just "showed me love". Anyone else (wig shop) would have definitely most likely had probably kicked me to the curb. Thank you Everyone I truly love you all!
