It turns out I’m considering building a garage space on my property, and I’ve heard a bit about timber frame garages but don’t know much about the advantages. Has anyone shifted from a typical garage build to a timber frame option? I’m curious about how the material holds up over time, especially in variable weather conditions. Also, if anyone has used these types of garages for extra storage beyond just parking cars, I’d love to know how practical it is. I’m also wondering if the construction time or cost varies significantly compared to more conventional options. Any insights on durability or functionality for everyday use would be really helpful.
