Save your time, your grief and your money, and try to do it yourself. Dealing with Amerihope Staff is at times worse than dealing with your bank. You are stuck with your bank... you have choices with Amerihope (or whatever name they go by). Granted, there are unique circumstances (like mine) in which you can't do it yourself, and you hire a third party, but I wish I had not been duped with their sales pitch. I have been dealing with them for more than two years with no results. I am worse off today than I was when I began. I could lose my home because of their actions (or lack of) and poor advice. In the past two years, the company has 'transformed' its image from a loan modification expert, to now being a foreclosure expert... they are like reptiles, changing scales based on what the current market needs are. Of course there are hundreds of raves and positive reviews from happy customers. I am so happy for them... however, simply pay attention at the tone of the notes, who wouldn't be happy to obtain a loan mod??? The company appears to proactively seek positive input from success files. There are a few negative statements as well, which they proactively seek to discredit. Bottom line is: do your homework. Think of the front line staff as a sales crew, their objective is to get customers. They will most likely tell you exactly what you want to hear, which is fine, make sure all those promises are written down in their contract. They will quote you a price based on your income, notice how much people have paid differs from post to post. The forensic analysis? skip it. its garbage. The partners perform it and its intent is to fill their pockets. You MUST keep copies of everything you submit to them, demand they send you copies of everything they send to the bank on your behalf, and follow up with them weekly. They have a high attrition and personnel rotation, your stuff will get lost. They will do the calls, just as you can do, but they have nothing to lose. They will not negotiate, leverage, or even give you advice. You think you are hiring a company that will help you obtain a loan modification and advice you of your options, or take the time to educate you or communicate with you, but you are hiring are incompetent clerks, that hope you get tired of babysitting them and give up, or worse, foreclose. If you do decide to hire them, and they don't work for you, DEMAND your money back, file a complaint with the BBB, Florida Bar, an then proactively go out and share your experience with others to save them from this fiasco. This company has negative ratings with BBB, and per the Bar Association, lawyers in their staff have been suspended, and if you google the names of the employees mentioned in various posts, you will uncover some interesting patterns. Hire them is you are seeking a challenge, or like to gamble.
