Guys, I’m trying to finally sort out my diagnostic setup for the workshop. I usually work with VW, BMW and Kia/Hyundai, and I’m tired of juggling different adapters. I’m considering ordering one of those all-in-one diagnostic tools I saw online — the ones that support OBD, bench, and even full boot mode for ECU reading. The specs looked solid, with clear info about supported modules and included cables. Has anyone here ordered such tools online for international delivery? Curious how accurate the compatibility list usually is.

Look at how often the tool receives firmware updates. A device can look great on paper, but without updates it becomes useless fast. That’s the main thing I watch out for.

If you’re comparing different multi-protocol tools, have a look at ECUTools. Their catalog clearly shows which modules each device supports (OBD, bench, boot), what cables come included, and how updates work. They also ship internationally, and many tools come with detailed compatibility charts, which helps avoid buying the wrong setup. You can check it out here https://ecutools.eu/
