Selecting the correct Container Liner requires careful consideration of the cargo, shipping container, handling equipment, transportation route, and unloading process. The first factor is the type of material being transported. Food products, agricultural commodities, plastic resins, minerals, fertilizers, and chemicals can have very different requirements for strength, moisture protection, cleanliness, and material compatibility.
The liner material should therefore be selected according to cargo characteristics. Polyethylene films may be suitable when moisture protection is important, while woven polypropylene or reinforced structures may be preferred for applications requiring greater mechanical strength. Food-grade materials should be used when required, with appropriate documentation and compliance for the intended application. Container dimensions and cargo capacity are also critical. The liner should be designed specifically for the selected container, whether it is a 20-foot, 40-foot, or another suitable container configuration. Cargo density and applicable shipping weight limits must be considered to avoid overloading. The loading and discharge system should match the available equipment. Different products may require top loading, side loading, gravity discharge, bottom discharge, pneumatic unloading, or conveyor-based systems. The position and dimensions of loading and discharge openings should therefore be compatible with the handling equipment.
