It’s easy to become cynical about dating apps after a few bad experiences, especially when conversations constantly die out. I went in with low expectations when testing the Hily dating app https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hily , but it turned out to be refreshingly different in tone. People seemed more conversational and less aggressive about moving things too fast. I also appreciated that it didn’t pressure you endlessly with notifications to swipe more. It feels like an app designed for people who actually want to date, not just pass time.
