Does anybody know anything-pro or con about The FL Housing Program in Palm Bch Gardens?

Does anybody know if The FL Housing Program in Palm Bch Gardens is legal? They say they will help homeowners get their their loan modifications for $495.00 and it is paid only after being approved and everything is complete HA!!! I guess they never worked with Ocwen!!

Hi Barbara,

The company has a D rating with the BBB in West Palm Beach. The grade is because the company hasn't been in business long- Since November 2007, they have 15 complaints against them, 2 were not resolved and one is marked "serious". You can access the full report here:

Have you tried calling a HUD-approved nonprofit housing counselor? You can speak with a certified counselor by calling 888-995-4673. They can evaluate your housing options, open lines of communication with mortgage lenders, negotiate a loan modification, and help you with household budgeting, all at no cost.

Hi Maddy,

According to the BBB report, Law Office of Marilyn Scheer is located in California and it has been against the law since October 2009 to collect an upfront fee for a loan modification.

Have you tried calling a HUD-approved nonprofit housing counselor? You can speak with a certified counselor by calling 888-995-4673. They can evaluate your housing options, open lines of communication with mortgage lenders, negotiate a loan modification, and help you with household budgeting, all at no cost.
