Earlier today I was trying to figure out how long an OTC deal actually takes from start to finish, because I keep hearing different stories. Someone told me theirs was done “within minutes,” but another guy claimed his took most of the afternoon because of back-and-forth confirmations. I’ve only used regular exchanges so far, so I don’t really know what’s considered normal timing. If everything is supposed to happen quickly, I’d like to understand what that looks like in real life.
