I hired the JRE Law Group for a loan modification. It was the worst mistake I ever made. They wanted the $2900.00 up front for their services and the money would be refunded if they didn't get me a substantial reduction in either principle or my interest rate. I received neither. After approximately four months I was told that my best option would be to go to another firm in Florida that offered a better program. They kept my money and told me if I kept requesting it back they would obtain a restraining order against me. Cold hearted is the only word I can use for the Ellowitz group. They are evil.

JRE Law Group helped save my home from foreclosure and if it wasn't for their work I believe that I would have lost my home. It did take longer than I expected and it was because Bank of America made us jump through alot of hoops probably hoping we would just quit or throw in the towel. Well we hung in there even when it seemed like nothing was getting done. We were told it would take 3-4 months and it took about 6 months because Bank of America didn't want to work with us I think. Anyways we ended up going from 7.25% down to .... 3.5% and we are very happy with the results.

During 2009 I spent months talking to different firms trying to modify my home loan. it was not until I contacted JRE Law Group that my modification with Home Savings of America got processed. Within less than 90 days my loan was modified from 7% down to a 4% rate.

The JRE Law Group in California has been reported to the California Bar for scamming innocent people out of thousands of dollars and I am one of them. They did nothing for me but take my money. I hope the state shuts them down before anyone else gets scammed.

The JRE Law Group is not Better Business Bureau accredited and I should have researched that up front. That usually is a red flag with a company. I don't know the companies that are being investigated in California and right now I don't care. I know what happened to me and I had all my money taken from the JRE Law Group and now have a different attorney. That's my story and there is nothing false about it. The JRE Law Group can do the right thing and give me money back.

I believe the JRE Law Group is a scam. They took our money up front with the promise of a loan modification and we received nothing from them. They can't be trusted.

I believe the JRE Law Group is a scam. They took thousands of dollars up front for a loan modification and then referred us to another attorney who had nothing to do with them. They kept all the money even though the contract said they would refund all the money if they didn't achieve the goal. I'm a victim and I am going forward with legal action against the Ellowitz Law Group.

I believe the JRE Law Group is a scam from the experience I had with them. They are not BBB accredited. I don't know if they are one of over 300 firms being investigated in California for load modification fraud but I think they will have to be once they read my story and check my facts.

I believe the JRE Law Group is a scam from my experience with them. I have a California attorney complaint form that I am sending to the California bar with my experience and how all my money was taken. They need to be looked at by the Bar.

They have an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau. There an honest and reputable law firm in California with thirty years experience. I would highly recommend them.

There is a list of over three hundred loan modification companies in the state of California alone under investigation for loan modification scams and the JRE Law Group is not on that list. You can't get much higher than their A rating by the BBB.

I used them and thought they were like most loan modification companies. I even told them they were a scam. In the end I couldn't have been happier with what they did for my family and myself. I did not know they had such a high rating with BBB. You can't get much higher than an A.

Fortunately I didn't have to use them for bankruptcy but I did use them for a loan modification and I was very happy with the results.

I would highly recommend the JRE Law Group. This firm has been around for thirty years and has helped thousands of clients. There is a list of over three hundred firms in California alone that are under investigation for loan modification scams and the Ellowitz Law Group is not on that list. This should tell you something about their company. When I first tried for a loan modification I was mislead by another law firm. I automatically thought they were all corrupt including the JRE Law Group. I was wrong. I have been dealing with the JRE Law Group for months now and the firm is as honest as they come. The JRE Law Group has helped keep my family and myself in our home when we were facing foreclosure and I am sure they can also help anyone that requests their services.

*******IMPORTANT UPDATE******** JRE Law Firm has closed its doors. It also received a cease and desist order from UTAH from doing business. JRE Law firm is a SCAM. JRE key players are Steve Hibler, Mellissa Macdowall and Jonathan R. Ellowitz. These people orchestrated a large scale scam. Further more they have our personal information and social security numbers. If you have been scammed by JRE please email the state Attorney General of UTAH and California. These people have run fraudulent businesses in the past (Avrek Financial, and a Helpyoudebt company) and still continue to operate. PLEASE CONTACT THE STATE ATTORNEY, EVERY AUTHORITY AND FRAUD AGENCY THAT CAN HELP. The more people the better shot we have at getting our money back. In June of 2009 I paid Jonathan R. Ellowitz Law group several thousands of dollars to facilitate my mortgage loan modification. Since then I too have been passed around to several negotiators and often times the new negotiator was only assigned after I complained and spoke to someone. It was if this is a fly by night operation where if a negotiator leaves they don't transfer any of the clients information/case to a new negotiator. I have given them more than a reasonable amount of time to facilitate this modification and have always done exactly what they asked in a timely manner. Most importantly I too have tried to contact JRE but they have disconnected their websites main email address and are unwilling to answer their phones or take voicemail. My negotiator's email address still works but have not heard back. My negotiators phone number has been disconnected though as well. I have no reason to believe that they will follow through with my refund as we have been scammed by a "law" group. I now stand to lose my home because I trusted my time and money with them. I will make it may mission to expose them to the BBB, every business review/fraud site, and every community they try and do business in
