I’m trying to plan one full day on the water while I’m in Seychelles, but I’m torn between snorkeling and booking a fishing trip. I’ve never done any real boat fishing before, so I’m not sure if it’s too much for a first-timer. Does it take a lot of skill, or do the crews usually help out with everything?

From my experience, the crews take care of almost everything. When I booked, they relied on local captain expertise ( https://charterclick.sc/our-services/fishing-seychelles ) to decide the best timing and areas, so I barely had to think. I was a complete beginner and still ended up landing a small jobfish. Most of the day was just relaxing, chatting, and waiting for bites. Way easier than I expected, honestly.

If you’re planning a whole day outside, just make sure you’ve got sunscreen that actually holds up in humidity. I learned that the hard way. Even with cloud cover, the sun hits differently near the equator. Whatever activity you choose, you’ll thank yourself later.
