Every time crypto comes up in conversation lately XRP is somewhere in the mix and I keep realizing I've never actually bought any directly. Always ended up with it through swaps or it just wasn't available on whatever platform I was using at the time. Wanting to change that but I'd rather skip the full exchange onboarding if possible, just a clean card purchase into my own wallet. Anyone done this recently and found something that actually works?

Done it a few times actually, no complaints. The process you're describing is pretty much exactly how it works on the platform I use — you're not setting up an account, not navigating an order book, just putting in your wallet address and paying by card. XRP lands without much waiting around and the fees are shown before you commit so nothing jumps out at you at the end. Honestly one of the smoother purchase flows I've come across for any coin. Worth bookmarking for repeat purchases too since there's no login to remember or account to maintain between uses: https://paybis.com/buy-ripple/
