What factors should be considered when selecting the right Stretch Film, including film thickness, width, stretch ratio, tensile strength, puncture resistance, cling properties, pre-stretch performance, transparency, application method, and specific load requirements?

Choosing the correct Stretch Film requires consideration of the load characteristics, wrapping equipment, transportation environment, and desired packaging performance. Film thickness is one of the first factors to evaluate. Lightweight loads may require less material, while heavy, unstable, or sharp-edged loads may require a stronger film structure. The width and roll length should be compatible with the wrapping equipment and pallet dimensions. Selecting an appropriate roll size can improve wrapping efficiency and reduce unnecessary film changes. Stretch ratio is another critical consideration. A film designed for high stretch can extend significantly before application, allowing less film to be consumed for certain loads. However, the required stretch level must match the film's mechanical properties and the capabilities of the wrapping machine. Tensile strength and puncture resistance are particularly important for heavy products, sharp corners, irregular loads, and long-distance transportation. Cling properties should be sufficient to allow the layers to hold together without causing unwanted sticking to the products themselves.
