My office just announced a company retreat at a seaside resort next month, and I’m excited — but I have super sensitive skin. I’ve burned even under umbrellas. I want to enjoy it without hiding indoors the whole time. Any advice?

Definitely! I used to deal with that all the time — I even got burned in winter once! What really helped was reading up on how sunburn actually works and learning how to protect myself properly. There’s an amazing article that explains everything clearly https://gentaur.co.uk/learning/sunburn-how-to-play-safely-in-the-sun/ . It covers when UV exposure is strongest, how reflective surfaces like sand or water intensify risk, and what kinds of fabrics block rays most effectively. After following their advice, I finally had a sunburn-free summer.

That gives me a lot of hope. I was worried I’d have to stay covered up the whole trip, but it sounds like I just need a smarter strategy. I’ll read it right away and make sure I’m prepared this time.
