That’s super familiar to me. There was a time when I felt like a tiny vibration from my phone could pull me right out of anything I was doing, and it’s wild how similar that is to what’s described at https://nichegamer.com/the-dopamine-economy-casinos-vs-social-media/
about how we get conditioned by small, frequent rewards. I eventually turned off vibration notifications completely and put most apps on silent. It felt weird at first, but after a week or two I stopped constantly reaching for my phone, and life got noticeably calmer.
