Timeshare Scam
|
5/18/2010 8:10 AM (PST)
RCI Innovations just called and went through there speech. They told me that I would have a contract in 48 hours and all I needed to do was give them my credit card and they would charge me $2896, which of course, I would get back when the sale closed. When I refused to give it to them, Stephanie Davis, whom I was speaking with, told me I wasted her time, I responded and afterwards, she hung up on me. I hope that people don't fall for this. I want to believe that people will not give a complete stranger their credit card information, but know that some do.

Connie,
You did the right thing by not giving them the money! This is a scam! Unfortunately many people have fallen victim to this type of buyer and reloader scam.

Timeshare industry is no stranger to rip-offs. Ever since the whole timeshare idea was created, the industry has been very criticized due to the dishonest sales practices, the false promises, the aggressive attitude from some sellers, the constant harassment, the high fees and the misinformation used to confuse customers, among other issues: http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/139-timeshare-rip-off/
