I have posted my resume on several job boards associated with local colleges and other places. Most recently I posted my resume on hot jobs.com and I received an email from a Russian company called Design 2 Fit, LLC with a job offer as a finance manager. The deal is they are looking for someone, any one I presume, to act as a go between for collecting and forwarding funds for their business between the US and Russia. They claim I could make an incredible $60,000-$80,000 a year by just working 2-4 hours per week functioning as the person who accepts funds from their customers and forwards the funds minus my commission to them. This scary. The BBB site has no information about they except that they have a business established in Florida, but no complaints have been filed. They claim they need people in the US to collect funds since US trade laws prohibit people from transferring money directly to Russia for their services. They claim to have a home furnishing business and have a web site showing all their furnishing designs that anyone can order. I am wondering if any one out there has heard of these folks and if they are legit.
Thanks!

Cynthia,
This is just a thinly veiled attempt to steal your identity. Don't get involved!

I, too, wanted to know this is legit. It is not. I even got an e-mail with a phone number on it. It is sad we have to be so careful in this day and age.

This is a typical "money mule" scam. This type of company typically offers employment opportunities transferring money through a checking account opened in your name. The scammers contact prospective victims with "job vacancy" ads via spam emails, letters, newspaper job ads, Internet chat rooms or job search web sites. Jobs are usually advertised as a "financial manager, US representative", "shipping manager", "financial manager" or "sales manager". They offer you the chance to earn some easy money for a few hours work each week, usually just requiring that you have access to the Internet, and suggest that no special knowledge is required. They then convince the victim to come and work for their fake "company". Some fraudsters even ask mules to sign official-looking contracts of employment. Once recruited, money mules will receive funds into their accounts. These funds will have been stolen by the fraudulent company from another account that has been compromised. Mules are then asked to take these funds out of their account and to forward them overseas (minus a commission payment) typically using a wire transfer service. Acting as a mule is an illegal activity. When caught, money mules often have their bank accounts suspended, containing all of their money!

Although the prospect of making some easy money may appear attractive, any "commission" payments will be recovered as the proceeds of fraud and you may become embroiled in a police investigation. Remember that you will be the easiest part of the chain to track down and supplying any information to the perpetrators may also put you at risk of identity fraud. If you see an opportunity to make some easy money and the offer seems too good to be true, then it probably is! Remember that even if you have nothing to do with the actual extraction of funds from another person's account, by allowing your account to be used to receive and transfer such funds, you will be acting illegally.

Be cautious about any unsolicited offers or opportunities offering you the chance to make some easy money. Be especially wary of offers from people or companies overseas as is harder for you to find out if they really are who they say they are. Take steps to verify any company which makes you a job offer and check their contact details (address, phone number, email address and web site) for accuracy and registration in the U.S. Never give your bank details to anyone unless you know and trust them.

Important alert: I am one of the owners of Design2fit,LLC. We have just found out that a scammer is impersonating us and our company in an apparent employment scam originating in Russia. Please, don’t respond to any such request. This is a fraud and we’re in the process of notifying the authorities. We are a legitimate, two-person, home organization services company based in Miami with no other operations anywhere, and we’re not hiring. Our website is http://www.ds2fit.com

Hello, I don't have much experience in creating logos, recently I made a logo for my company for the first time, I found sound wave vector here https://depositphotos.com/vector-images/sound-wave.html and it was a really cool idea to take these ideas to work. I liked the result and I'm sure I'll come back to them for more ideas!
