If you want something closer to Lightroom in workflow, try Darkroom. It’s clean, touch-friendly, and has great color grading tools. I love how smooth it feels on the iPad.

Totally get the subscription fatigue—on iPad it’s extra annoying when you just want quick edits and a clean workflow. What helped me was figuring out which tools actually cover my day-to-day: batch tweaks, decent RAW handling, local adjustments, and a usable export flow to Photos/Drive. I ended up testing a bunch and found this roundup super practical because it compares price, offline use, and features side-by-side https://skylum.com/blog/ipad-lightroom-alternative . I discovered a couple of apps there I’d slept on, and one of them replaced Lightroom for travel edits without killing my budget.
