What factors should be considered when selecting the right stretch film, including film thickness, width, stretch ratio, tensile strength, puncture resistance, cling properties, pre-stretch performance, transparency, application method, and specific load requirements?

Selecting the appropriate stretch film requires careful evaluation of the load characteristics and wrapping process. Film thickness is one of the most important considerations. Lightweight or uniform loads may require thinner films, while heavy, irregular, or sharp-edged loads may require films with greater puncture and tear resistance. The stretch ratio determines how far the film can be extended while maintaining sufficient holding force. High-performance films can achieve significant stretch while using less material per pallet. Pre-stretched films are already mechanically stretched during manufacturing, making them easier to apply manually and potentially reducing operator effort. Cling properties are also important because the film needs to adhere to itself effectively without unnecessarily sticking to the packaged products. Tensile strength, puncture resistance, tear resistance, and load retention force should be evaluated according to the weight and shape of the pallet. For products requiring visual inspection, transparent film provides useful visibility of labels and barcodes. Visit here: https://www.singhalglobal.com/products/stretch-films-lldpe-stretch-film
