Which Rent-A-Center are you dealing with? Knowing the location can make a difference in determining what you can expect form them, based on their BBB and TrustLink histories.

To answer your question in general, you probably signed an agreement when you began renting from them that outlined the terms of the warranty in relation to the pay-off. If they aren't honoring the terms of the agreement, then you have a valid complaint. Then again, if they're supplying you with faulty product over and over again, you probably have a valid complaint there as well.
